True that. If it is going to be that cold there should be something to ski or board on. It is just cold and bits of snow cover here and there.

On a good note, it won't be so messy come driving season.

They prefer the dominant, but if one is much worse than the other, you/they will opt to correct that one.

They can put you into soft contacts that do the same for a while to test/see how you like it...but I personally never really got used to it with the contacts like I did after surgery (which has been fabulous).

...and it only cost half as much as doing both eyes, and if I didn't like it, I could always go back and do the other one.

They must be chasing someone, heard the police chopper go by low and noisy.

Except for the detritus in my left eye right now from the hemorrhage my eyes are pretty close to the same. Until all this crap started the presecription in my glasses was the same for each eye, eye doc said they were low powered binoculars.

No evidence of any 028 here. It's at the shop getting motor rebuilt.

Oh boy. Neighbor's dog is not only an escape artist, it's a boy.
Going to have to try really hard to keep Pepper away if I don;t want any corgi mutt golden puppies.

Haven't decided if I want to breed her yet. Have had 3 people tell me they would like a puppy if I do and her puppies because she looks really good for her breed. One of them is the lady I've had groom her and another is the lady that kept her while I went on vacation that does the dog show circuit. Her puppies will be worth $900 each because of her specific pedigree. With 9 puppies in a typical litter that's about $6000 profit for 2 months of having cute little puppies around.

i'll probably breed my hunting dog this fall. i nearly fell over when i got her paperwork back, along with her pedigree (something like 150 national hunting trials wins).

Pepper has show winners and more. Her daddy was Good Housekeeping pet of the year a few years ago, and her grandmother is in print and does TV spots. If you ever see a golden in the ads for the bank I use it's her grandmother. Evidently she just has that look. Almost everyone tells me she is a great looking dawg. I just think she looks like a golden.

My brother was telling me about a friend of his that has a hunting dog. He was surprised that it had webbed feet. Told him most retrievers do too for fetching in water and Goldens have webbed feet too. He had no idea.

He has ask me to NOT bring my goldens to family gatherings, AT A FARM with a nice big swimming pond. Because he doesn't like dogs. Took Camber to one of the gatherings and every time I turned around he had called her and tied her to a tree out away from everything. She didn't bother anyone and the kids LOVED playing with her. She would fetch anything that floated from the pond and followed the canoe around if you called her. In fact, all his grandkids have dogs now. They don't bring them because they are house dogs. 4 yapping Schnauzers and one Pit Bull.

fThe lady that kept Pepper has 4 dogs, a Show dog, agility dog, hunting dog, and a drug dog. Her works as a trainer because her dogs have won all kinds of stuff in the respective areas.

With her normal training methods she broke Pepper of a couple of good things I've had to retrain her on. Because of the way she was rewarding her Pepper had started grabbing anything out of your hand. Any time Pepper did something she liked she gave her a treat. And I am still working on getting her talking reliably again. Had Pepper so she would go to the door and say I want out. After she got back she would just stand at the door and wait. Took a while to get her barking and just now getting here to say I want out again. And that was back the first week in November. She was also saying hello at every drive thru window. Now sometimes she does, sometimes she doesn't.

The worst is Good Girl has become a release instead of a you did right praise. I like using Okay as a release and now I have to change to using Yes or something else that she is doing right and re-train her for it. erg.

Going to get her certified as a service dog so I can take her with me next time I go on vacation. Used to take my first Golden, Penny everywhere. If I can ever get Pepper to mind as well off-leash will take her everywhere too.

The other day was at a stoplight and Pepper was leaning way out the window saying hello to the girl in the car next to us. When the light turned and I started going Pepper fell out of the car. As I turned the corner to pull into the gas station to stop and get out I heard a thump. Pulled in, stopped and jumped out to go get her. As I rounded the car she came running and jumped back in as I opened the door. I think the thump was her jumping against the car to get back in. Going to have to do that police training thing of when she can and can't jump out of the car while the fear of falling out is still fresh.

every time Pepper did anything positive she gave her a treat like you would a tiny puppy training it to get treats. And Pepper is pretty quick. Sit down, I get a treat. Stand up and sit down again, I get a treat. That's part of turning my good girl praise into a release. Have had to work to get her to stay. If you tell her good girl, she takes off. It is tough. I am having trouble teach myself not to use good girl until I want to release her. Have been just praising with good girl for 30 years!

Wish I could have cloned my first golden. She was one in a million even though she had allergies and acne.
