Stijn!!

What a pretty day it is. I had to play in the garage. One of the three ceiling fans had to be removed. All three are the cast offs from other ceiling fan upgrades so mine were free. The one that was the ugliest is one that was on a back porch so it was partly rusty and it was a 36 incher. It was in the way of the raised garage door rails. My choice is try to squeeze it in a 5 inch clearance or just go under the door rails and then it will be in the lowest thing blocking raising the vehicles up more. It may just go away for good.

I got the Elky washed as well.

Then I started trying to find a leak on my air compressor. It would lose all pressure in a shore time. I put soapy water on the fittings and found the pressure gauge was leaking. The idiot that put it together never tightened it up past hand tight. So the same idiot tightened it up today. Hopefully the leak is mega slowed up.

No, uh-uh. The FYE store is going out of business so the shelves were pretty bare. I had no idea they were closing. Mostly, because I don't care and haven't been anywhere near the mall since well before Thanksgiving.

We stopped at the hobby shop to check out train accessories because that money is burning a hole in his pocket.

He bought a cool airplane model of the F4U Corsair like on Black Sheep Squadron.

The biggest thing is that we did that without me wanting to hurt anybody. Hey, it's a start!
The F4U was the first single engine aircraft of WWII to exceed 400mph in level flight and were still in use in the Korean war. We have one for an R/C trainer. The C model with the 4 20mm cannons is our boy's favorite in the combat sim. An unarmored Japanese plane does not last long against it, even with one of us adults flying against him. It is like trying to chase a dragonfly on speed.

One of the first really good flight simulator games main plane was the Hellcat. The game was called Hellcats of the South Pacific oddly enough. The game designer was a friend of a friend's in Dallas. My friend had on of the first 21inch CRT monitors and couple of 15in monitors. We set up his desk so you had the 3 windows of the Hellcat around you. The designer guy specifically programed the render engine specifically for that setup. It was fantastic to play and very immersive.

The Hellcats were fighter/bombers of the day and would fly in really high then dive bomb whatever their target was and you had to take on the fighters sent to get you on the way in and hope you could outrun them on the way back out.

One mission was to sink a Japanese carrier. It was very difficult to sink without getting shot down because it took both bombs. I came in low and dropped a bomb while flying through the open fantail. Sunk it with just one bomb, but got shot down and jumped. I landed on the deck of the carrier before it completely sank and was found by friendlies and made it back safely. The guy that wrote the game said he was planning to give me a copy, but after that stunt he was going to make me buy one.

I also beat his bomb base mission. I would take out the one plane sent to stop me, then fly in low and fast like the jets do today, come in below the ack acks and take them and most of the planes still on the ground out with my guns, then go up and do my two bombing runs at my leisure. Then was able to make it back to US Airspace before fighters could get there from the other Japanese base. Got a really high score because I could take my time and be very accurate with my bombs. He didn't like me being able to do that either.

That sounds like a hoot Richard but I think I would get addicted to it really fast.

We have a RC club in a nearby city. When Jake gets older I might see if he's interested in doing that. I know they aren't cheap so I need to gauge his interest first.

Yesterday was a super pretty day especially for the day after Christmas. It was low winds and t-shirt weather.

Reuben loves to lay in the sun. He likes a warm brick wall and concrete area in the back yard. Close to where the squirrel from the neighbors tree crosses into our back yard. Every dog has to chase a squirrel, but nap time in the sun is more important sometimes.

Get em to inject some rose colored juice so you can have the same effect as rose colored glasses. Everything will look better.

Good luck, I know that is a scary thing.

This time the risk is higher that instead of fixing it, just get to go blind in that eye.

Best of luck Richard.

Hey Glen....can you PM me your address please. Went through all our previous PM's and all I could find is your phone number.

Another one of those go from near zero* to high 30's and rain. Wow was it slippery this morn.
I had the one ton chained up with a load of sand in the sander and I still slid down the driveway on the way to work this morn. Lots of cars in the ditches today.
