Good Morning.

Had to save the thread from being the last item on the Off-Topic page! Yikes.

The thread on 126coupe passing away goes to why I've instructed my wife to post here when I go.

Good save Richard.

Good morning all. Mrs Carrera decided I needed to drive her around and see Christmas lights last night. We went to downtown OKC and some of the buildings are decorated with a lot of cool LED lights and Devon has what look like tree Christmas tree ornaments the round glass balls. One of them must be 30 or 40 feet tall. Several smaller ones are just 10 or 15 feet tall.

Maybe that's a service Funeral Homes should add. Instead of just doing Newspaper Obits, add Social Media Obits.

They build a very tall building and then put big balls at the bottom of it? At least they aren't blue!

Just got home. We've only got 8" so far (still snowing but not hard). I'll see what we have at 2am when I get up to start all over again.
I'm beat. Nighty nite.

I stop in for a soda and slice of pizza at Sam's way more than I should, but $2.48 is hard to beat.

Just be glad they guess on the low side and you don't have 36 inches.

My first winter in Oklahoma was in the late 1970s. I lived in a crappy garage apartment and I did not have access to the garage. The only good thing about it was it was close to work and $90 per month furnished. The forecast was for up to one inch of snow. I woke up and it was snowing like crazy and there were 3 inches on my car. The weatherman always forget the wrong forecasts and just carried on as if they had said up to 4 inches. Then they revised it for up to 6 inches. Then up the 8 inches. It quit and 9 inches. I was in my 914 with not much ground clearance. It just pushed through the snow with no issues.

It was 4 years before I could save enough money for a down payment on a house and have a garage for my 914. The driveway at my house was steep and I could not make the turn in icy conditions to make it up my driveway. I ended up hooking up a hand operated (I was too cheap for an electric) winch that I could hook to the tow hook on the 914 and I could pull it up the driveway into the garage when it was icy or heavy snow. The driveway was steep enough that I had to go up at an angle and it was a 90 degree turn from the street. The winch worked fine for many years until I moved.

It is that white crap that belong on top of mountains. On occasion the dang Canadians send down a wave of cold air to share the cold and it bring the snow from the frozen tundra and the mountains and screws up the lives of normal sane people and makes kids happy. I really wish the snow would just stop at the mountains. Dang Kansas is so flat the snow just blows right over it and into us because Texas sucks and Kansas Blows. It is all a evil plan by them mean old Canadians!

Dad had a Corvair and said it plowed through snow like nobodies business.

Back home to regular food instead of eating out. Emily tried a special quesadilla and said it was good but too rich and it gave her a stomach ache. They are mostly deep fried grease but they sure taste good.

Deep fried grease. MMMMMM

There is a local fried catfish place that has pretty good deep fried catfish. It is a good place to get a grease fix. I have long heard people say some food is "too rich" and I never really grasped that. It is like saying it is too good. It does not compute to my taste buds.
