Hola, y'all. Today is the start of many days without rain in the forecast. Yet, Mother Nature decided to give us a quick rain shower a little while ago.

After lunch had the thought about the Tennis Ball hanging from the ceiling thing in my garaage to know how far to pull in. And if I put a strip of tape on the wall and my window so those and the ball line up can use it to line up left to right with too. Pretty close fitting 2 Cayennes in the garage. Seems like it's gonna be a while before the Cayenne S sells. There is a little bit more room with the 928, but the 928 has a bigger door so needs more room.

On the news over the weekend they said horses kill more of you than all the poisonous critters. Is there any animal down there that doesn't have anger issues with humans?

The horses in Australia are likely poisonous!

Everything is deadly down there.

Especially Foster's beer.

The koala look cuddly but they are mean. They have large claws.

They have that weird duck billed platypus thing. Crazy weird web footed mammal with a duck bill, pouches, a beaver tail, and a stinger on each rear leg. Understand the sting won't kill you, but you will wish you are dead as it is one of the most painful venoms known. That is almost as mean as looking a cute and cuddly but being mean tempered with big claws.

Happy Australia Day!

Your Meat Pies must be like our Hamburgers and Hot Dogs. Think we like the Burgers and Dog because you can easily cook a bunch on the grill.

Do you also make homemade ice cream? I made 4 gallons on the last 4th of July.

There's an old song about "Football, Meat pies, Kangaroos and Holden cars". A maggot bag (meat pie, named so coz a lot of fast food pies are made from lots of grissel and look like maggots in gravy - taste good but) had to be well up there in the stakes for the national dish.

Not so much for icecream. We have an icecream maker, hasn't been used in donkeys years.

So would it help to carry a recipe book for meat pie made out of each critter?

The ice cream thing we used to do when I was a kid. Then I stared it myself again about 20 years ago. Now the thing is my Nephew and his boys do a full sized fireworks display and I make homemade ice cream for it. last year we had 60 peoples and I still brought home a gallon of ice cream.

Welp. Taking the Cayenne S in to have the dome lights checked out. No interior lights when you open the door. Got an appointment to have it checked out this morning. Decided I needed to get some coffee from Starbucks to wake up, opened the door so Pepper could hop in the back and the dome lights came on. They haven't been working for 2 weeks! That is just weird.

Morning.

Is it hard for you see up close with your eye issue Richard? I would think the dome light problem might be a faulty door switch. Possibly just not making good contact.

Okay. There is one in the front over the mirror. one on each side over each rear door, one over the rear hatch area, and 2 on the hatch itself. And as part of the comfort and convenience package there are floor lights as well. The dome lights can each be operated manually by setting a switch to on/off/door. The exception being the floor lights that can also be set with a dimmer to however bright you want them. The are also map lights for drivers and passenger on either side of the front dome light that are either on or off.

None of the dome lights worked in either on or door with the doors opened or closed. The front map lights did not work either. The floor lights worked fine.

Tried monkeying with all the door switches and checked the fuse. No change.

There is a reason I was taking it to have them check it outl

Happy Oz day Jeff and Azzy.

The day after I got a job in OKC was the 4th of July 1978. The family was about a dozen people and they always got together at a local park and cooked lunch. Outside on the 4th of July was usually 100 degrees or so and just HOT. That year I suggested we maybe change thing to a nicer park and change it to breakfast. They all liked the idea. Then my mom decided we needed to do it at dawn!

For many years we had a great time with lots of relatives bright and early at the park. Then they started dying off or moving away. By the time it was just my parents and myself we decided we did not need to meet at the park at dawn anymore. I am glad I got to know some of those relatives.

Glen, did you meet up at one of the parks the Parade went by? If so probably had to go at dawn to get a space.

Oh yeah, Good Morning Stijners

No we met at Will Rogers park. Almost every year as we were shutting down at about 9:00 or 9:30 and loading up someone would get there trying to get the best spots for the 4th. I just told them give us a minute and this spot is yours. They though they were getting there early and we were done. I lived just 1/2 a mile from the park so it was convenient if someone needed a potty break.
