Good hump day morning everyone.

Richard, I really thing a shower is rarely ever wasted. I have wasted a few when I get up and shower and then remember I need to mow. Taking an extra shower is not a big problem.

Hey, take a shower every Saturday nite whether I need it or not. LOL

There was a guy at work they sent home for a week with a bar of soap. Told him not to come back if he still smelled.
You couldn't get within 20 ft of him, you could smell him at 30ft. He also cut his hair and wore cleaner clothes. Before he ironed his clothes by putting them under the couch cushions. He also sold his old beat up van and got a nice 4 door. Looked like a completely different guy.

We had a guy that workd with us 20 years ago that had talent in his job, but he was a raging alcoholic. He owned a cat, a male cat that liked to mark his territory the way cats do, piss on everything. The employee would come to work late, horribly hung over and still slightly drunk, and reeked of cat pee.

The boss sent him home to clean up and he could shower but he still reeked of cat pee. He was fired after three days.

All people, or just the ones you have to deal with?

Next week is the annual review my employment options week, or as others call it Employee Appreciation Week.

I don't hate all people, I like ya'll.

I hate gatherings of people in a social setting.

There are some that I have to deal with now ant then that would test the patience of Mother Theresa and drive her to pushing an ice pick through someones temple.

Morning all. Off to tell the wife's doc to go jump off a cliff soon. Possibly in polite terms maybe not.

My 5th grade teacher had a saying "Take a long walk on a short pier".

One of the reasons I like working from home is that my work related interactions are significantly reduced. Most of the time I can even get away with using gotomeeting to attend meetings remotely so only have to deal with the actual meeting and not all the people I run into going to and from the meetings.

5th grade...
Teacher blinked her eyes every time she opened her mouth while talking.
The first girl in class with tit's and she wore sweaters all the time.
Don't know if it had anything to do with her blossoming so soon but we got to watch some corny 1950's b/w sex education film too.

Oh yeah, someone dropped a huge turd in the urinal in the boys restroom. All the boys in each class had to file through, look at it, and got a lecture from the male principal. Of course being in 5th grade we all thought it was hilarious.

Wasn't me, swear. Honestly, couldn't imagine why anyone would do that. Besides it was HUGE. One big turd a foot long and 2-1/2 inches diameter.

Will just have to be unanswered a mystery.

Like when driving home one day happened upon 3 women and a young boy standing in the middle of their front yard. The women were just chatting and one of them was holding the young boy's hand. He was naked. During the time I drove down the block they never change position. Seemed kind of weird, if the boy ran out of the house naked, they would have taken him back in. But they were just standing in the middle of the front yard chatting.

Mertnin

Is there a club or support group for "I hate people"?

Is it me or have people recently become stupider and can't read?

Yea, the support group is a large one, but they never meet because everybody in the group is so hateful.

Good over the hump day. Gonna be a hot one. Predicted 100 degree day. The first of the summer. We normally get 14 days per year of 100. Last year was one 4 days of 100+ so maybe we can repeat that. Ya know its gonna be a hot day when the temp is 80 at sunrise and the coolest it will be all day. The heat index was 91 at midnight.

My local electric company has a program where from June thru September you pay only 4¢ per kilowatthour, Then they have high use times and peak times that they charge according to the expected load. High usage is from 2pm to 7pm, Peak is from 4pm to 6pm. The additional charge can be 4¢ 9¢ 13¢ 23¢ and 44¢.

The do give you a thermostat that recieves radio signals of when the high usage and peak times are. If there is going to be a higher charge for the high usage or peak time, it pre-cools your house so the A/C runs less during the higher rate period. You can set the temp you want to keep, the maxium it will cool too, and the temp it will maintain during high usae and peak usage times. The defaults are 4°F and I don't really notice any difference.

Anyway, yesterday they sent a notice saying the high usage charge was only going to be 4¢, then later another email saying high usage was going to be 23¢. Then another saying they messed up and were going to honor the 4¢ high usage charge. The this morning I go another saying they were going to charge 44¢ peak from 4pm to 6pm.

Don't know what I am going to get charged for today.

Oh and you can access your electric usage on-line and it tells how much you use each hour, what temp was, and what your rate was. Comparison shows I paid $400 less last year using the peak thing compared to the year before without it
.

Looked into making my home more efficient with double pane windows and adding insulation to the attic. According the their best estimates it would save me about $75 a month. BUT would cost me $7500. That means the savings would take 100 months or 11 years to make back the cost of the upgrades.

They said they could give me an interest free loan for $125 a month to pay for the upgrades. That sounds just great. Pay $125 a month to save an generously estimated $75 a month. What a deal.
