Consider it a lease to him. Make him pay back fees as well.

Yer email service is da bomb. I love it and even my 82 year old MIL uses it and likes it.

Ouch this audit crap is expensive. I have to send a check for $500 to my CPA as a down payment. Next is spend the next weeks putting every scrap of bank statement, invoices and paid bills in a order they want in a notebook and make it all easy for the examiner to see what went on. We have nothing to hide, nothing even a little shady and it is all documented fortunately.

What a pain in the posterior and expensive. My CPA has says it will not be a big deal but he is the only winner here.

Was it Ace or CMS that is being audited? Doesn't seem like CMS is in business long enough for them to worry about.

From what I've heard about Gulf and money, sounds to me like they may have gotten audited because expenses were not commensurate for their business and Ace is getting audited by association.

If Gulf filed a complaint to get Ace audited, bring in more than your accountant. Get a tax lawyer. A complaint mean they had to provide examples. If the examples are wrong, they can be fined for perjury, ie lying. But if they have a tax lawyer and your don't. They will most likely get away with it.

Just what I gleaned from a few minutes spent with the google. Wonder what it will do to the ads on web sites now?

It is our new company. I could not care less about the former companies. I have no idea what is happening to them. Don't know, don't care. We get to jump through hoops and prove we really are honest upstanding guys. WC fields made a movie, and made a career on the line, "you can't cheat an honest man" and we have done not one thing even shady, much less improper or dishonest. It will cost us a lot of money in fees to our CPA but we will prove we are the good guys. Maybe stupid or not aggressive enough. We prefer to be known as a up front honest company.

Just seems odd to me that you have only been in business a couple of months and you are being audited. Guess since you got a tax number and that certificate they are making sure you are on the up and up, or did they say they suspect a problem.

Yup...seems odd. You haven't even filed a tax return for your new company yet. Have you?

We bought the equipment 2.5 years ago. We started the company back then. I am not going to get into all the details on line in a open forum or any online source.

Good Weekend Morning to all y'all!

Some chick answered my Gas Grill ad on Craiglist. Said gonna come by sometime today with her Dad's pickup truck. Basically haven't used it since I got the Charbroil SRG. Went to clean it up yesterdee evnin an it's a dad gum bird condo under the grill grate. Two birds nests under there. Have never even tried to light the side burner.

Was on tech support call with Microsoft Exchange on-line support from 3pm to a little after Midnight yesterday evening. Seems some features MS publishes info on and even has a GUI for don't work at all whether using the GUI or PowerShell to manage settings. The settings show up, but they do not function. Once during the call there were 5 techs representing 3 tiers of tech support. Kinda funny the only web browser that let you manage the feature was Apple Safari. There weren't any browsers for the PC that didn't error trying to manage the settings. Finally an upper tier guy got involved for a couple of minutes and stated, "Oh, that...It doesn't work." MS has had this feature in Exchange since 2007! They have had 10 years to either remove it or fix it.

Phew. The yard is mowed and edged. We have had a lot of rain in recent weeks. I normally mow on a weekend. This is the first dry weekend in a while. The humidity outside is HIGH, at 82% and with the heat at 98 degrees the heat index was 114 when I can inside for a shower. I was a little sweaty.

With the wet weekends I had to mow last on a Wednesday afternoon so it has been 10 days since the yard was mowed. It is done and I have finally cooled off. The humidity has dropped a little so it is down to 112 head index.

It started out as this...

I still need to finish my "desk" along the back wall, install LED overhead lighting, install the TV bracket on the right wall (looking from the driveway) and possibly add another tall wall cabinet on the back wall. Lots to do!
