We made it through the only curvy roads in Central OK. Almost a dozen curves! And then on to Eischens. My type of place, you get one chicken per order. No ordering pieces, and a side of fried okra. Burp. No silverware, no plates. Just wax paper as a plate, plastic fork if you ask. Lots of napkins. Good food and company. Great time was had by all.

Hmmm, I dunno, but looking at all that front wheel camber, I'd guess he's only of the "stance" kids.

Stijn!!

Back to watching LeMans this morning. Just 9.5 hours to go. It is almost dawn on the track.

I fast forward through the coverage of the Toyota’s at the front. No doubt they will win as they have a class by themselves. The other cars in LMP1 are way slower and no competition at all.

I figure I have 4 hours of real time left of watching.

Happy Fathers’ Day to all you Dads! It’s a bit foggy here, with a lot of mist in the air. Time to be a lazy bum and enjoy the day.

A bunch of mates came over to have dinner and solve the worlds problems (the girls all went somewhere else for dinner - so we could b1tch about them). I cooked up a feed of bangers and mash for me bros. The snags were smoked for four hours with port wine barrel shavings. The spuds were mashed using a ricer and mixed with butter and cream. I made a red wine and onion gravy to slash over it all, but the pinnacle was bacon wrapped onion rings to garnish it all. Never going to settle for plain old onion rings ever again.

Feeling a little better today, but still a little queezy, not real sure footed, and have a slight headache.

Yea, Monday is back, and we have more calendar slippage. It is foggy, and 66 degrees in Oklahoma in June. I am not complaining at all, just amazed. We get Jim's weather today is just weird.

I will run out to the airport again today and check on the status of our 182 getting it's annual inspection. Parts of me wish cars had something like it to remain on the road. No quite so through for cars since you can just pull over to the side of the road in a car. Just some sort of inspection to get some of the totally unsafe crap off of the roads.

Jim’s weather today: low 63, high 66. Completely grey skies.

Jeff, you’re quite a chef. How come no invites for your Pelican mates?

I thought they just called that Monday.

I say Jeff should barter his cooking skills for a stay at peoples homes.

I saw a couple of vintage El Caminos this morning. One a ‘66-‘67, and the other a ‘70-‘72. I also saw a hot rod Model A flatbed truck, and a Ferrari coupe from the 1960s. Not sure of the model. No air cooled 911s.

I just returned from the airport where we keep our Cessna 182. It is in annual. He took the pants off of the 182! Actually the wheel fairings that cover the tire and wheel and brakes. They help with wind resistance and thus fuel burn. He was inspecting the brake disks. Cute little brake pucks, about like you see on a 100 CC motorcycle. Lots of panels get opened, and the innards are inspected, and cable that need lube get lube, and and FOD is removed, and interior panels are cleaned.

The mechanic is a buddy, so some chit chat, and then head off to our hangar. He moved our 182 to his hangar, and put his 1946 Cessna 140 in our hangar while our 182 is in his hangar. His Cessna 210 is in another hangar.

We bought a used tug but it had a bald tire, and it was flat. So it goes to a lawn mower shop for a new tire. Just spending money as fast as a congressman.

Yea, we get to write some fun checks for it. As far as we know the airplane is is great shape. We are hoping to get it finished up and go fly the wings off of it on a few big jobs. Make it pay for itself, and make us some money.
