For a fling? Probably fine. For a serious relationship? I'd be a bit put off by it.

In your 20s, you still have a chance of finding people without "baggage". By the time you get to your 30s, it's pretty tough. By the time you get to your 40s, I'd say it's impossible.

I have a good friend who's just shy of 40 and is grappling with this. He's always on the lookout for a "relationship quality" woman, but simply can't find one without serious baggage - emotional or otherwise (divorce, possibly multiple, kids in tow, promiscuous past, etc.) I told him he either needs to accept this kind of thing and come to terms with it or accept permanent bachelorhood. He knows - just isn't sure which way he wants to go yet.

As for stripping, most often they are not the college girl making tuition money. They're girls with lots of other issues, abusive relationships, drug & alcohol problems, etc... So be careful with that.

Me...during the days with strippers (ok, two) I was as shallow as the deepest part of a spoon. It wasn't quantum mechanics, maybe a worm hole here and there, but I figured the math was worth the merge.

I bartended at strip joints for about 5 years. A lot (not all) of strippers eventually end up having sex for money in the clubs or going to a hotel with a customer. I would always wonder about that. I'm not sure what I'd think about that. Then there's the girl doing the porn. It would be a bit weird if you introduced her to some friends, and someone recognized her. That might be awkward.

That is what I am thinking... I can forgive and/or overlook past mistakes... we have all made them.

But to pretend that most strippers and porn stars may not have major mental issues... well, is just wishful thinking IMHO.
