LOL unfortunately linda couldn't do a darned thing with them

The best thing she's done in 30 years was the plow king with Barney. Did she ever do the spanish version?

Perhaps one of the most famous of all...

Proud Mary... written by John Fogerty and performed by Creedence... then Tina Turner sorta gave it a whirl.

Heard it Through the Grapevine

Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Creedence.

Marvin's version was the best, IMO.

Ray Charles doing "Eleanor Rigby."

Joe Cocker singing "The Letter". Leon Russell on keyboards.
Songs where the cover is better than the original.

Hey Moses:

Marvin Gaye and Heard it Through The Grapevine - I totally agree with you.

Not so much on the Dead.
Deadicated is a terrific album. Wharf Rat by Midnight Oil is just killer.
Suzanne Vega doing China Doll and Cassidy are unbelievable.
Reckoning and Workingmans' Dead are really really good records.

One man's junk, is another man's treasure...

To each their own. Out here on the left coast, the dead were a state of mind, a scene if you will. Not for everyone tho...

Just thought of another one.

I will survive, Cake. Sure, the original is cool, but they own this song.

No one but SRV could have done as much with this tune, thats all.
The version on Eric Clapton/Steve Winwood Live at Madison Square Garden is Very Good - Winwood on the Hammond B3 adds another dimension
