My dream business? Manufacturing an ultra high end AK-47 variant here in the USA. Something that would sell for $2-3k. All forged and milled. The bolt carrier would be a piece of art.

I have a machinist friend building these, I've seen the prototypes, but can't post any pix for a while..

As for me, open a bar... with a big shop in the back to sneak out & play with my cars...

Although it does look like I'll be getting into another biz as well next year, so if anyone needs high end beds & furniture I can hook you up..

Years ago, a local strip club did that when the city was trying to close him down. He use to have a sweet yellow 930 slant nose.

Can I say if I've already done it two weeks ago?

Software design company; based out of Calgary, AB, Canada, 'eh.

We have about 5 templates for new software designs, but we're looking for more inspiration if you have any?

Porn store, it sells , was a part owner of 1 15 years ago and it was a great money making business, my partner was a flake but thats the big thing about business, its the people that you invest with that make it or break it, and never, I repeat never have an accountant as a partner. Hire one just don't go into business with one, same with lawyers, hire one but keep both at arms length.
Other than the porn shop I've also been involved with a trading mining company and it was these 2 groups of professionals that killed a "could have been " great thing. To me they are either people who give bad advise or people who own a calculator. Probably pissed off a bunch of people by saying that but so what.
Q: what do you call 200 Lawyers and accountants at the bottom of a lake?
A: A good start.
No offence to the pro's in these fields, just had bad experience's with both.

Storage facility. People pay more per square foot to store $h!T they don't want than they do for the home they live in.

You got that right. I used to work at a place that shared a parking lot with a storage facility. We would see them cutting the locks off of storage units that the rent was overdue. They would open up a unit and find it full of junk. They would have an auction several times a year and it was 99% junk.

I always figured if I win the lottery I would buy an strip mall near a airport and open several connected business. Name the mall "Toys for Big Boys" and a gun store, a liquor store, a sports bar, a race shop, restoration shop, machine / welding shop, aircraft sales, scuba shop, ski shop, boat dealer, motorcycle shop, and maybe a massage parlor. All of this would be next to my private race track of course.

That will be the start of my dream business.

I have a gazillionaire buddy who started a drug company and patented a few drugs. Now he has more money than he can ever spend and he's a huge car nut. So he bought some commercial space, hired away the crew from the local Ferrari dealer and this is what he has now.

Competizione & Sports Cars - Contemporary, Race, and Vintage Ferrari - Home

The place is an absolute toy store, engine dyno room, espresso bar, 30-40 of his collection in the space nextdoor. His wife is a doll, but what an escape when he needs one.

I am considering doing this with my commercial building that I run my shop out of .I have a plan to close my buisness in the next 5 years. I am planning on building a large garage at my house, and doing side jobs ( I still like to wrench), and either renting my building out, or converting it into a storage facility for classic cars /boats etc.
I cant wait to get off this squirrel cage called life.
Think long and hard about any business that you want to start. I have been married to this business for the last 17 years , and while it has its rewards, there have been many hurdles, and tough times. There have been many times that I just thought about walking away , and getting a normal job. You better make sure that you are doing something that you love, because a lot of times the financial rewards can be small for the time and effort you have to put in.

I can't imagine why anyone would ever want to open a restaurant. So many people say they would like to do it, but it's one of the riskiest businesses you can go into, is incredibly hard work and even if wildly successful, still incredibly hard work. If you open at 11 for lunch, you get there at 7 for prep. If you close at midnight, you leave after 2. Who needs that? Every restaurant I ever worked at had managers that stole, even when the managers were the son and daughter-in-law of the owner.
