A quiet handheld spoon.

Got word that the local gun range had fit the little Walther with a can... Of course we had to go try it out.... Still seems loud though.

No matter what you do to the "spoon" once the bullet breaks the sound barrier it is going to make a crack.
If you want a silent "spoon" you need to get a closed breach .22 (like a bolt, pump or lever) and run CB-Longs through it. I have taken out a lot of critters in my neighborhood where I am not allowed the use of a "spoon"

Rugar KP90 in 45 acp. It doesn't have that sharp crack of the 357 because it is a subsonic round but it can be a handful. I shoot 185gr JHP with 4gr of bullseye. Dad does my reloading.

That Walther .22 would be a decent carry (without the muffler) It isn't always about the size of the lead but where ya put it

That's one of the benefits of Idaho. Who needs a silencer?

Sub sonic ammo...single shot .22LR bolt action rifle...about like a balloon pop.

Especially if you never take the little plastic shipping disc out from between the frame and the back of the cylinder. Don't shoot that one much, do we?

Sidney,

How many rounds through the can? If the wipes are getting old it will be loud, especially so with the wrong ammo.

LOL, I leave that in as a safety, but you are correct, it is a brute to shoot except with 44 specials so it doesn't get shot often.
