My condolences.

My recommendation: Do something you like. Go eat a pizza. Drink some beer, DRIVE the crap out of your Porsche. Get your mind off of things.

your father loved you. He wouldn't want you to be upset/unhappy. You should do things that you enjoy right now in his name.

My thoughts are with you! I love my own dad!

N!

My condolences on your loss. As hard as it can be to be with a loved one at the end it is a very important time for you and for your father. We are never really prepared even when an illness is not sudden.
My Dad is still with us at 81 but mom's been gone 11 years. In getting ready for her funeral we went through family pictures making up several posters about her life. It started out hard but we laughed about good times remembered and cried too. It helped alot.
We all grieve at our own pace. Please allow yourself to be sad and happy as you go through this.

Sorry to hear about your Father. Lost mine almost 20 years ago. It gets easier but not much.

He will live on with you and your family. Remember the good times you had together. He would want it that way.

Seems a real passing of the torch in life when we lose our parents, a lifetime feeling of having a safety net gone.
Sorry for your children too that will miss more experiances with their grand parents.
Both of my parents have passed too.
Cruise over for a cold one and we can deal with it like men behaving badly, with beer and car distractions.
Good seeing you New Years very sorry for your loss.
