His Jacket getting in the way of his guitar and eventually un-buttoning his shirt to see his gut ... I laughed. As mentioned still a lot of Oldies that would be a better match .. AC DC would be great I guess I am old ... and was excited to see the WHO .. Disappointed to say the least. ..Very forgettable .

every song i hit on was like pulling teeth waiting for it to go somewhere.
Those people that you mentioned, beyonce for instance. there's no 'grab' to the music geez it would only work if you put a couch out there and let here roll around on it half undressed. other than that it doesn't work. A show like this has to grab you and make you clap and sing along.

I really like her and Destiny's child. But then, i am diversified! ![]() What kind of music do you like? I have everything from Elvis to Beethoven to Britney Spears to Drowning Pool to System of a Down to the Rolling Stones to Rage Against the Machine to Johnny Cash in my playlist. There is very little current music that I will listen to in 20 years. I only keep up with the current rap/pop because I like to know the songs that get played when I am out at the bar. They might be fun for awhile, but they have almost zero staying power. I probably have every single top 10 hit of every month from the past few years on my iPod, but they almost never get listened to. In contrast, every single time I drive back home from school, I will likely spend at least an hour of the drive listening to the Stones, Hendrix, Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Who and so on. That stuff is just so much better.
The only new music that has any staying power with me is O.A.R. and Dave Matthews Band, and even a lot of those two bands' songs that are my favorites are over 10 years old.

You're a kid still. Wait until you've heard all those classic rock songs 1000000000x like us old timers have.
Now when AC/DC, Led Zep, The Who, etc, etc comes on the radio i turn it off. Immediately. I love 80s music though- all kinds of 80s music, and i still listen to a lot of it. |

I have no idea what a Destiny's child would sound like. I don't watch but a minimal amount of network TV. The only radio station I even know the station numbers of is classic rock only. Your playlist sucks in my opinion, but that is just my opinion. That is what is great about this country, you can listen to bad music and I don't care an iota.

My playlist is diversified. If i don't have at least 20 songs on it you like, i'd be shocked. I have almost every popular genre of the last 40 years represented except for rap.
Here is some Destiny's child, they were huuuuuge before Beyonce went solo: Destiny's Child - Independent Women Uploaded by Drunken-Li-Dragon. - Explore more music videos. BTW: You are hardly an average music listener, by your own admission. So IMO the NFL should be paying you no mind at all when selecting entertainment acts. I have the Immigrant song playing right now. Zeppelin rules. Your opinion is only an opinion.
Alright, Bad Motor Scooter by Montrose just started. I love my Pandora! No commercials and only good music.

I will click that link right after you move to California.
I feel the same way about Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Reba McIntyre, Brooks & Dunn or Toby Keith and they are Oklahoma products.

Well, i've only heard that song 357,000 times. Led Zep was my favorite band growing up. It's a very rare classic rock song that i am not totally sick of hearing. |

LOL, you have shoes from 1969??? Do you wear them?
![]() My favorite 'current' band is System of a Down. I don't see them being on any NFL half time shows any time soon though. LOL |

bah, i've been enjoying System for some time now. don't listen to it every day but haven't found its lost any appeal yet either.
don't really think anyone has followed them that can keep up. i'd be curious who your kid feels has replaced these guys. honestly can't think of anyone right now with the same intensity.

I thought the show was ok and entertaining.......
But really who are we kidding here, watching a 15 minute ensemble on tv is never going to be good. Has there ever been a good half time show that has sounded great on tv? Only way a live concert or performance is going to sound good, is to be there at the concert, or a distant second would be a good recording, but on tv never.

There have been some DAMN good national anthem performances, not sure off hand about half time shows. Didn't U2 do it the one year?
