Shave your head, put on some camos, get an automatic rifle, then walk into work and start going from desk to desk asking "did you leave a note on my car?"

This is how I park. (I'm the one on the right). My car is my life. If I ever got a ding in it, I think I would die.

I had some very nice cars when I was younger. I watched them like a hawk and kept them perfect. There's a certain relief in owning a car that just doesn't matter. A few weeks ago I watched a little boy swing open the back door of a car and take a chip of paint off the rear door handle of my Mazda. Years ago I would have insisted that the kids mom pay to have that fixed. Mom barked at the kid and apologized to me. I shrugged.

Happy about it? No. Happy it wasn't a high end car? Yes. I told my wife about it when I got home... I just don't know if I could ever go back to driving expensive cars as I know I'd be stressed out about trying to keep them perfect.

Before you put that letter under your windscreen, the C Class is not in fact built in Alabama. It is built in Germany. So to put this in your letter would be a little daft IMO.

Come in on the weekend. Put down a gallon or two of signal yellow paint on the first five spaces closest to the door and put in restricted vehicle sign.

Park there from now on. Problem eliminated.

Someone else parks there, put fake citation on windscreen.

I usually don't post much in the OT forum, but this one really gets to me. This person has made a conscious decision to mess with Stuart993's car. One should never mess with another's family, money, home, car. Ever.

Stuart993, it may be wise to not try to escalate this situation, considering the fact that it is at your place of employment, and any following action may result in damage to your new car. But then again, this person’s actions may not be too far off from a degree of harassment, if it continues.

Do you think it would be possible or not too difficult to find out who they are? I know I would.
How has he "messed with Stuart's car?"

Best,
Tom

I think the fact you actually have to ask what the problem is means you have a big problem, it isn't anything special, its a nice car but PARK IT IN ONE SPOT, away if fine way away is good, but who are you to think you should get two spots. It always pisses me off. Do you park right in front of the store instead of finding a parking spot, block traffic while waiting for your significant other to shop? find a parking spot.
If I put the note on your car I would have signed it, and wait for you to see me.

Left a note with a thinly veiled threat, that is how,

if this were not the case, it would have been signed.

I had a someone clip my car in the parking lot not long ago. I knew they would, because it was parked on the end, where there was no spot, such that if someone parked in the empty, marked spot next to them, they could not exit without hitting my car. I noticed this when I went out to get something from my car, took a photo and wrote down the license number. I guess I should have moved my car, but did not have much time. Sure enough, took some paint off my bumper. Next time I saw the car, left a note on the back of my card, nothing. Next time I saw it, I stuck a note on a piece of sticky paper on his windshield so the car could not safely be driven without removing it. Still no response.

May just break a key off in the trunk lock for him next time I see it.

There was an oversized space at my office that I used all the time. I was the first in and tended to park on an angle.....within the lines. STILL got crap over it.

Since we had more than one entrance, I just parked on the other side....identical overized spot.....people are such asshats.

I say park correctly. They even marked the stalls so you know how where to. Double, triple and --dare I mention it-- quadruple parked cars stand out. Sometimes, you don't want your car to stand out. You'll get the wrong kind of attention. You're lucky if all you get is blocked in.

Let me give you a for instance: In Irvine, CA along Barranca Ave there is a medical office, Address is 4900-4870 Barranca thereabouts. This lot has the WORST parking quite possibly ever. 50% of lot spaces are drawn for normal sized sedans, 40% compact, another 10% for cripples. People park their oversized sedans, oversized SUVs in all the compact spots, double park... It's horrible. They're fooking idiots. Don't be like them.

Now, if you're someone special you'll get a named spot up front that's approximately 1½ stalls in width.

You seem to be a good guy so no offense intended.

Not too bad! It took 49 posts for a Pelican to Pelican name-calling. And even then, pretty mild.

I was joking with the sarcastic response letter Stuart. Should have put it in green.
Park between the lines and forget about it. There are more important things for the brain computer to collate during the day.
Tomorrow this person will find something else to be nerotic over.

There is something wrong with people that feel the need to take two parking spaces, ANYWHERE.
