a friend says that Maserati's were meant to be leased only. Enjoy them for 24 months and dump them before they start to thaw out or need a maintenance...

Sorry to hi-jack... this is still pertinant to the topic at hand - Itallian car maker Fiat now owns Chrysler.
The Dodge repairs in the last year: New Mopar rebuilt trans (been out 6 times since dec 18 and on the 3rd torque convertor). Rebuilt Transfer case - this is the 3rd in this truck. New front drive shaft - also the 3rd in this truck. 2 new batteries (second set this year). The POS needs 12v while cranking to start. New alternator, the old one still charged but was 'noisy' as were the bearings. The right front wheel bearing catastrophically failed one day - replaced in a supermarket parking lot. Left front wheel bearing failed last weekend. New steering stabilizer this week. Right rear brake caliper siezed which resulted the rotor getting screwed. The pads were fairly new. Steering box BROKE - has anyone ever heard of this happening? The drive by wire throttle actuator packed in - can you say Dead Pedal? Installed Carter fuel pump becasue of fueling issues with stok replacement pump. Prior to the past year: New Rad - piss poor design caused dirt to chafe through. Entire new front end (ball joints, u-joints, drag link, tie rod ends). This thing EATS tires. There is more but the more I think about it the madder I get. Repairs needed: Heater controls have not worked for the past 4 years. Needs new windshiled. The power window lockout switch is acting up. The signal / brake light wire to the trailer connection doesn't work. The 'new' tranny shifts funny sometimes. I hope the steering stabilizer fixed the death wobble. Fuel / Water drain valve is leaking since I used it. HOW can Chrysler continue to do business not issuing recalls for well known issues on these trucks such as the Death Wobble and the Dead Gas Pedal?

15 months in on this "sports coupe", "pony car", or whatever you want to call it. Zero, I mean ZERO problems. But then, nobody points & looks like they would with a Maserati or a 911...

Of the 4,398 Viper Green 911's that came from the factory, only 7,612 remain.
