The fact remains that MANY of the drivers on the road WANT a car that is just an appliance. It is only transportation. There are people out there that could not tell you anything about the car they drive except the color of the paint.

I wonder how many will think it's real, and still want to buy one...

This is so true. I have a friend that drove a front wheel drive car for 8 years, and never even knew it was front wheeled drive--and couldn't care less one way or another.

Life is too short to drive boring cars.

It would make a great bank heist getaway car...imagine police radio trying to describe it.

Yup. It is too short. If I could find a 318ti California in red again I would jet my corolla. I realize the bummer would be more maintainence but I think
It would be way better to drive. Like a RWD corrado.

Who else makes a modern car?

All the cool different looking cars are at car shows and never get built. Or cost 6 digits.

that looks like a 7th generation Toyota Corolla under there (possibly 8th gen)

one of my favorite cars because the handling is very well balanced, the motor is peppy enough, it's easy to work on, and it gets great gas mileage

as far as "mediocre" cars go they should have used a Yaris

**apparently it is a 2001-2005 Kia Magentis.

I saw a TV commercial for the Mediocrity a few days ago. It was a normal ad in every way, with no obvious hint of it being a joke. I was so confused. It seemed to be a joke, but there was no point to it at all.

"Do you like glove compartments? And cup holders?"

both were missing from the intro of the 996 & Boxster

finally added after P AG endured unremitted complaints...

Ah, I just googled the Mediocrity. It's a mysterious stealth campagn by Subaru. I guess it's working.

Hilarious.

Some of the "Specifications" are pretty funny.

Body Construction - Basic Flexibody

Overall Width - side to side

Overall Length - end to end

etc....
