I don't get that. There's a restaurant in Oklahoma famous for it's "hot hamburger." No point in describing it, as I find it to be better used as dog food (if your dogs aren't too picky about what they eat) and it also involves drowning fries in ****ty, canned gravy. You have a limited number of meals in your life, why waste one on that? JR

JR Next time you are in Ottawa, the Poutine is on me. No gravy can involved. Only top curd cheese use. Cheers JJ

My S/O bought some squash, and was not sure how to prepare them..... So I made her a pictogram to make a hearty fall soup.... squash, onion, celery, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander ( I used ras al hanout) Lime and cilantro for finishing...

A suggestion... If you have a meat slicer, slice some breast meat as thin as you can. Take a fresh onion roll, spread copious amounts of good mayo on both sides (really, a lot), followed by as much black pepper as you can grind before your arm gets tired. Top it off with about a 1/2 inch stack of sliced turkey, then about an inch of spicy sprouts, like alfalfa spouts. Might need a little salt on the turkey, depending upon how it is seasoned. JR

Make your own, or go for the high fat version from the best company you can find on the shelf. Hint... It's not Miracle whip. An important aspect to the sandwich is the texture of the meat. Thinly sliced is key. Thinly sliced deli turkey (like Boar's Head) would be better than thickly sliced homemade turkey. Fine sprouts, not bean sprouts.

I quit poaching eggs once I learned how to soft boil them. Peeled and split, they look pretty cool plated. Sent via Jedi mind trick.

| Registered | Thanks. Serious flaw in his soft boil plan. Big diff between cooking 3 eggs versus a dozen. His hard boil plans is solid. Love it! I go 11 mins if I remember. Sent via Jedi mind trick.

I've never seen the need to poach an egg, when they can be cooked so many other ways. I first ran across soft boiled eggs when traveling through Europe as a kid. Breakfast was one soft boiled egg and a cup of black coffee. WTF does a kid do with either of those? After cracking my first egg open, I figured the rest of the eggs on the trip weren't worth fooling with, since at that age I wouldn't eat a hard-cooked yolk, let alone a runny one. Once in a while we also got a hard roll, which I ate if I could crack it open. Some were hard enough to be used as ninja weapons. Bring on lunch... JR
