So I call a guy this am to meet about a car. He says I'm at xyz. Great. I'll be up there shortly.

He's not there and no answer on the cell. *********.

That listing has been there at least 2 years.

On another note: Trying to sell my 911 on Craiglist, got a nasty email "If you're not going to respond to my emails why bother listing on craiglist". I never got any previous emails from him. I did respond to that email(nicer than he wrote to me). He saw the car, drove it, asked questions without listening to the answer asked more questions. I think craiglist is a great way to advertise but it does have flaws.

The guy I was supposed to meet texts me that the car is sold, but wants to buy my truck, as he was looking for a 4 door pickup to trade. It sold in the 1/2 hour we were to meet?

I'm just staying away from this one now.

Nothing but laziness - that's all. H3ll most people cannot even spell the title of the ad correctly. I seen this in the jobs posting!

I've never had the seller on Craigslist ever reply to my emails... I thought it was just me.

Relate back to my post to see why you guys don't get replies.

Here is a way to get a reply:

I'll take it, cash in hand, can meet today.

and yet, the many times I have used that along with a phone number, still no response

then, many days or weeks later you see the posting bumped with a triumphant 'SOLD'

I always state in my emails that I am a serious buyer, have cash in hand , will make a nice easy no drama transaction for them
If I am selling something, I give them My work # and hours, and my cell phone #. I usually state in my ad that phone calls will get a quicker response than e mails.
I can honestly say that 90% of the craigslist ads that do not have a phone # that I have replied to , never replied back to me. I usually do not even respond to them anymore unless it is something that I am really after

I have found that replies end up in my spam folder, I have also found that when I reply they don't always go through..

I had a guy contact me about one of my bikes, set a time,, told him to call me when he was heading in my direction & I would give him directions. Well I don't hear anything from him & send him an e-mail, he says he came out but didn't know were to go, so went home I aked why would he head over without calling 1st when he didn't now where he was even going???
He came out the next day & everything worked out fine..

During our hunt for a new place and emailing dozens upon dozens of listers for homes for rent, I found I got very few responses...or they took a LONG time and the place was already rented. Unfortunately, some of those places would have worked great for us.
I would often email within minutes of a place being posted...I was scouring hard for a new place.
