Just trying to survive the brutal winter weather!

I mean it really sucks. It was down to 45 degrees at Carpinteria State Beach last night. I actually wore socks in bed in the trailer. About 70 during the day.

Finally back to the 70's! And nothing in the next 7 days is below freezing...

It was a beautiful day for a hike. Top of the Nike missile base on Mulholland, looking out to the Pacific.

There was also a beautiful sunset at El Toro this evening. Great way to end a great first day of season at autoX.

Almost 60 here today, with similar temps all week. By Tuesday the snow and associated slop should be a distant memory, so I can finally wash my cars.

Got up to almost 70 here today, I spent all day on a pistol range and got a pretty nice sunburn... I sure was glad when it warmed up and I could ditch the jacket, much easier to draw not from concealment....

That's a major warming trend- it was 13 below the day I took that picture last week, according to my sister.

Parts of Northern Oklahoma were -31 just a few days ago. The same area will be in the mid 70s this week. That is a 100 degree warmup in just a few days.

We were almost at 70 yesterday too. Was a nice change from the rest of the winter so far. Went for a nice hike yesterday.

Looks like heaven to me Pete.... After finally getting some decent snow here in NW Ohio, now it has warmed up in the 40's and it is all melting. Supposed to be in the 50's late this week.

50's are nicein early spring, but I am not done enjoying winter yet.
