I do that all the time at the ballgame. After 9 innings and 9 beers, for some reason I can't remember where I parked. Sometimes I will take pictures of the spot, the garage and even drop of pin on the gps map.

there's an app for that.

no really i think there are many gps apps that have something to do with parking the car.

funny... i just enter it in my phone's notepad... probably a lot faster than taking a photo and uploading it here.

gps is pretty useless inside a parking garage, especially one that's underground.

That is cool, but I could be blindfolded walking away and could still find my car. I just have a really cool sense of direction.

I took a photo of both sides of my credit cards in case I lose my wallet so that I have the numbers and the phone numbers to call. If you're traveling do you really remember who issued your CC's?

Good idea.

AFA parking, I've not had much of a problem. I do remember once in Vegas when I was on the wrong floor of a parking structure and could not find my car. I was't even impaired! It was mid morning and I was checked out and leaving.

I just about called the police before I found the car on another level. Musta been impaired when I parked it.

x2, been doing that for years. Great for getting price/item # in a few seconds. I'm sure there is app to then google the info but not for my old shoe phone.

My smart-phones 'post-it note' is linked to my email post-it note feature. I can just copy crap from my computer, drop it into a post-it note in my email, and it's automatically on my phone.

Great for everything, shopping lists, addresses, to-do lists, sports schedules....

And vice-versa, the list on my phone goes to my email notes. So I can record dimensions, prices, part #'s etc, and it is also on my computer....

Very useful.

I was trying to convince an IBM support tech on the phone that a tape back up unit on a client site was faulty.
Typically he didn't believe me until I sent him this picture. I had a brand new chassis on site the next day.

Another time I had a network outage on a remote site. Long story but I suspected the fiber optic cables were faulty.
This photo confirmed which patch cable was faulty... You can't see the "lavender" laser light with the naked eye.

Honestly I don't know how I could do my job without a mobile phone to take pictures like this.

If you lose your phone, do you have to cancel all your cards?

Thats a good idea, we should all go out and take some pic's of what we have worked hard to get, just in case, we all know that your insurance company is not your friend

Wow, never thought to do any of that. I have a great sense of direction so I rarly have an issue where I parked or where I came from or how to get back to where i started. But taking pics of credit cards and comparison shopping great idea. I am always looking for a pen to write down prices.

I took this so I could check that these boots were OK to use on a client site.
They have a fiberglass toe protector instead of a steel cap.

And yes they are OK to use instead of steel caps.
