Wandered off somewhere...

We are, here in Kalif, well aware of this recent BS ruling. I could go on a rant about this but not here. It is on my mind that this ruling could affect this sentence and that's a big reason I want folks to push the DA on this case. Jimmy is a sociopath with a lit fuse.

I hope this guy gets his ass nailed to the wall and doesn't get a pass on the hard time due to the budget situation or anything else. My condolences to everyone who got taken in by this loser.
Justice/karma always catches up with people like this eventually. If the courts don't handle it, he'll eventually get some "street justice" sent his way. He's probably better taking the prison time than waiting to catch the wrath of the wrong person out there... |

We'll know soon enough....today is the day. I'd like to be waiting out side the court house with an axe handle in case he walks with time served.

The courts have chosen to fill up CA prisons with people who have committed the offense of drug possession. IIRC, controlled substance offenses comprise about 22% of prison admissions. As far as I know, this is the largest segment of prison admissions in the state when compared with violent crimes, property crimes, etc. I'm sure a portion of 'controlled substance' arrestees belong in prison, but I doubt it's the majority. The drug problem comes from the demand side, not the supply side.

There's also about 33% illegal aliens who have committed crime after coming here illegally. That figure is not only Kalif...it's reported to be a national average. They could be expatriated to any country we chose to incarcerate them in...not just their home country. I say pay Pakistan or some other sh#t hole to incarcerate them for their term. That might just stop the flow.

One neglected aspect of this whole story is how devastating NAFTA was to family farming in Mexico. It exacerbated the problem of people migrating to where the jobs are. So yeah, the system is F-ed up, but I'm thinking the demand side has to be fixed. OTOH, if they were to ship Jimmy off to Pakistan...

I'll post here when I know something about it... Thanks to all who took the time to write and press the DA to stay tough.
One of the victims that I neglected to mention is a lady in the SF area. She and her hubby finally got their dream P car only to unknowingly contact JD. They lost big time but thru the efforts of Officer Dave Yokley, Inland Empire CHP, and a few shop owners in So Cal they got most of it back. It still needs to all be re-installed and now that the weather up here seems to have changed for the better we'll get a crew to show up and do that pretty soon. This lady and her hubby drove to Victorville for the trial of JD. She gave a long painful and stressful testimony which helped greatly in the conviction. The stress, however, resulted in her have two strokes. I hope she's OK now but I really don't know.

I have the case number and was told to call the Court just before 4:00. Hopefully it will have been recorded by then. I was told the case was adjudicated today, but just had not yet been recorded.

Well, I did just get to talk to the office clerk. He only got 2yr 8mo but has 151 days credit for time served. I was sure hoping for a lot more, but not really expecting it.
He'll likely serve a year of that, then be out on parole. I guess the only good news is that they will require him to have a job...not a business. That means that victims can get a court order for reimbursement of damages and attach what measly salary he might get. Likely he'll just go on welfare until his parole is over. If I find out just where he'll serve his time I'll post it so we can all send him a wedding present ![]() Thanks to all that helped....

Mark,
At least he was stopped and after all these years hiding on the forum and harvesting new victims via the forum, its over. Would have liked to see him in prison for 10 years but these days thats not going to happen. Between this and his being on parole after getting out of the "house of doors" he should be out of action until at least 2020 or so... Thanks for the help! Joe A

Joe,
Mark Fraser said basically the same in a private email. I know you are both right but in my gut I still want him gone for a much longer time. In Kalif they will only serve half the time given in most cases unless they really act up while inside. That means a year inside and maybe a year or so parole. That's the reality. We can only hope he gets totally abused while he's in.

So I've just been told by a lawyer friend who does criminal work. No gifts to prisoners. Maybe a few of us could meet him at the gate when he gets out and take him 'out to dinner and a few beers
" Who knows, he could fall down some stairs...

since he has been convicted of these crimes, couldn't you just get the folks together who were affected by this guy and make a civil suit against him? that should keep him financially tied down longer than the criminal sentence, right?

You can make a civil case w/o a criminal case. They are two separate things, with completely different burdens of proof and procedures for prosecuting. A civil case against him would probably be very easy to win, collecting not so much...

yeah, but collecting is not the point. making it impossible for him to do business is.

lol, I totally understand. from reading the posts in this thread, I get the feeling that people want to punish this guy beyond what the state felt was reasonable.
