Pair of 300 Lb chicks gave me a nasty look after I took a photo of their great parking job.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1420148184.jpg

techweenie 01-01-2015 12:53 PM

To be fair, in that tny spot, a 300 lb chick exiting the driver's side would have hurt the car on the left pretty bad.

Thanks for not including a pic of the 300 lb chicks!

I'm pretty sure "MZ FEVA" felt less stressed after the chassis loss of 600 lbs.

Does it make me less of a douche when there is snow taking up 45% of the "other" spot?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1420665545.jpg

porsche4life 01-07-2015 12:28 PM

Nope... Still a douche ;)

I'd back my 4wd truck onto the snow bank real close to you just to mess with ya!

I agree.

Which is why they should have parked with a space in between instead of some clusterfvk of a parking job....

Probably on their cell phones and couldn't focus on the driving/parking aspect of their existence...

I would usually take advantage of the big spot in the snow. Wider and at least 1 side of my car is protected.

911pcars 01-07-2015 01:21 PM

"Does it make me less of a douche when there is snow taking up 45% of the "other" spot?"

There seems to be plenty of room on the end to park at an angle. Swinging door hits seem to be the most common mind-numbing moves by the masses.

Upon review...this pic isnt making my case. the spot with the snow looks huge, its not. My 540 aso looks much smaller than that Jetta, also not. strange.

Ill drum up some douchery and repost :)

I've said before that the parking garage at work is a veritable zoo of d'bag parkers. This was presented to me today:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1422473739.jpg

Unfortunately, I couldn't fit the black car off the left side of the picture who parked on the line, nor the truck right next to me who parked...on the line.

But, 5 d'bags in one snapshot should count for something, right?

Yeah that look bad...

Up here even with of foot of snow on the ground, that hides the lines, it does not get this bad.

Noah930 01-28-2015 02:44 PM

^^^^ heh heh. Looking at Pazuzu's picture above, if I ever get stuck painting the lines in a parking lot, I'm gonna make each space a different width. Just to fk with people.

Por_sha911 02-07-2015 03:20 PM

Parked at a low budget steak place in Dalton GA.
I sort of understand why but look at the second pic: the lot was packed!

Lot packed or not - he still looks like a DB.

Por_sha911 02-07-2015 07:11 PM

No, I meant to say that the packed lot made him more of a DB. The question is what do you do with a car that expensive when you go somewhere?

In other news, a DB at work (and another packed lot):

That next to A-holes tossing cigarette buttes out car windows is a pet peeve of mine, hell most places have parking spaces for people not getting gas.

Just today at lunch. This idiot parked right on top of two spots. The end spot is very wide and he could be on part of that but he chose to cover two spots.

It's one thing to document a parking pig, but unless their oinkish love affair with space is brought to their attention, they're destined to repeat the practice. If you're going to go to the trouble of snapping, then uploading a pic, how about instead leave a note or other evidence of displeasure of their anti-social behavior? Public shaming is often, but not always, an effective deterrent, esp. in a big city.

Ms Vauxall's response in bmcuscgr94's post @ #1109 was commendable, but with a young child in tow, I wouldn't have demonstrated the patience she demonstrated waiting 30 min., especially had I known of his weak "apology" after the fact. A less sympathetic curmudgeon would have deflated at least two Audi tires.

In my neighborhood of narrow streets, I seem to constantly end up playing daily games of chicken with perhaps those same parking savants, individuals who seem to have a fixation for middle-of-the-road driving. Or perhaps they just feel entitled to the whole road and not move one Botts Dot width over for on-coming traffic despite yards of empty curbing on the right. My only recourse is to poise a twitching trigger finger ....... on the horn button and try a blast as they pass within a foot of my stopped (essentially parked) car.

I'm a proponent of (fairly gently, believe it or not) folding in the side-view mirrors of parking lot idiots. I'll admit to occasionally even making two passes - one down each side - so as to double the chances of increasing their own level of frustration.

If that doesn't come off easily, it's not funny.

Neither is parking in a handicap spot.

If the law allowed the parking patrol to tag cars with a handicapped stencil, I'll bet very few would park in handicap spaces without a permit...
