In this section of the locker room, when I got there, no other lockers were in use. Mine is the black lock when I came back. Some other guy comes in and used the locker right next to mine, when there are 100 others farther away. Why? Why does he want to be next to some other sweaty guy who's changing when he comes back to open his locker?

I should've taken this pic a long time ago at California Pizza Kitchen Bellevue-

The lot was EMPTY since I showed up at 3PM for a bite to eat. I park away from the front door towards the corner of the lot in an undesirable spot (in one space) in the 911-

People come in after I'm done, I leave and there are three cars parked right next to mine. ****ing idiots.

I've seen some of the old-timers here in town park their old trucks right in the middle of the road, turn off the ignition, slowly climb out and walk into the whatever-store, all the while causing a traffic jam right on Main St. Its like they either don't know what they're doing, or don't give a damn. I'm thinking its the latter :D Its not like the cops in town have the guts to give them a ticket.

Rick Lee 08-13-2011 02:24 PM

Today I went to the gym at noon, so the sun was still such that there were just about no shaded parking spaces except the special ones for bikes. Still there was another d'bag with one of those hideous new Camaros in shiet-colored orange taking up two spaces. But it was way in back and there was no shade to be had, so no biggie. I still hate everyone, though.

When I came back out, I had a very cool bike parked next to mine.

Strange. Might as well park it in with the rest of the herd, huh?

Some people's existence is apparently enhanced when they attempt to get on others' nerves. That's what those folks are doing... they're trolling.

just be thankful it was a Camaro and not a 'stang

A930Rocket 08-13-2011 03:08 PM

I think we should start a thread of stupid thngs people do.

So far we have some good examples:

Parking
Urinals
Lockers
Seating

I avoid parking my shiny, scratch and dent free SC in parking lots. When I've no choice I'll park way out where there are a lot of empty spaces.

I'll, of course, try to park where I'll have empty spaces on both sides of me. Even doing that, I've returned to my car on several occasions to find some jerk parked their beater next to me, even though they could have picked any number of other spaces.

Then one day, I was about to park in a lonely space and saw, not far away, a very expensive newish car, obviously parked out in left field for the same reason I do.

So I thought to myself, hmm...and pulled my SC into the space next to it on the car's passenger side, leaving plenty of space, which was easy because the car was properly parked in the middle of its space.

It had dawned on me that if I parked there, my driver's side was protected and his passenger's side was protected from some inconsiderate jerk pulling in and denting that side of our cars.

I figured, I'll take the risk that the driver of that nice car wasn't an idiot who would take offense and key my nice car if they returned to their car before I did. He wasn't. When I returned the car was gone and mine was unscathed.

So, when I find myself in that circumstance, that's what I do and haven't had any problems. Actually, there's been two occasions where I've returned to my car when the other car was still there and a third nice car had taken one of the adjacent spaces, one of those times adjacent to my SC. I guess the other driver liked the other car better than my old Porsche. :)

Wow five pages because some guy take two parking spots. Can't wait for the thread where a dude has 13 items in the 12 item express lane.

The worst part about that is the sign that reads, "XX items or less," when it should be "fewer." I really do hate everyone. Bad grammar is worse than bad parking.

So Richard, do you start these kinds of threads because you hate us and want us to suffer reading about all your problems, or do you really not hate us and feel compelled to share with us the minutia of your life?

No, I start them becaue people like Afterburn and yourself get so upset by them and can't look away. Maybe I'll throw in an "Obama this" so you'll scream to get it sent to PARF too.

Just last week I was in Phoenix and got stuck behind some jerk who had 14 items! So I said, Excuse me sir. May I please go ahead of you? I only have 10 items.

He said, Fk you ass hole! and started to take a swing at me. Being situationally aware, I quickly stepped back (i have the reflexes of a jungle cat) and stuck my stomach out at him. He froze, pulling his punch with an expression of abject fear on his face when his eyes locked onto the .44 magnum tucked into my 501, button-fly, shrink-to-fit Levis and said, Oh, I'm sorry sir, go right ahead.

Jim Richards 08-13-2011 05:37 PM

I'm actually quite calm.

Egads!

I suppose all of us are doing pretty well, if car spots, urinal personal space, and # of items at the checkout are our biggest concerns....

Meh. They built a mini shopping center near me a couple years ago and five competing gyms moved in right away (the parking lot has lots of shady spaces).

Six months didn't go by before three Centimental Ring shops opened up.

Rick,
This is the Second time you have said about me - Being Upset.
The only one Upset here is i believe....Is you !
I could not go on and on about a parking space..
What are some of you guys 12 to 14 ? WOW, then you want to call me upset ? because your glasses are so clouded?
You are looking at life through your little key hole...Not everyone is like you...thank god.
You folks need to get a life...seriously and please do not tell me I am upset...this is virtual land....I do not get up set...over parking spaces, Or, 12 items in a 10 item checkout line !....I do not even get up set when Some talk about me..I expect it....Some can not deal with logic.

You sound upset.

Just kidding!! :D

But seriously, 12 items in a 10 item checkout line is one thing. 13 or 14 items in a 12 item checkout line is a whole nother thing. Especially when you're in a hurry because you had to park your motorcycle in the sun.

Please. Try to have a little compassion.

afterburn 549 08-14-2011 05:40 PM

is the M/C going to..melt?

Rick Lee 08-14-2011 05:45 PM

I'm going to keep this one going for as long as I can. I'm sure there will be more excitement at the gym or in the parking lot next week. Stay tuned. Oh, there was another guy parked in two spaces today, but the lot was just about empty, so he wasn't denying anyone a spot in the shade. I was already riding when I noticed it, so, in the interest of not letting some Internet strangers think I'm all upset, I didn't stop and remove my gloves to get a photo.

10 items, probably not. 14 items and you're pushing the envelope.

Poor grammar is worse than improperly parked cars. ;)

No, I don't blame the cars for being improperly parked. It's bad parking. Not the cars' fault.
