That's a more appropriate response after refusing to let the guy on the street clean your windshield.

Everyone should have a special vehicle (German, of course) to snuggle up along side the doors of these self-entitled owners.

I especially like the roof rack and the vehicle's lawn mowing potential, but it seems it could use add'l low-end torque. I won't continue with its noise and vibration issues and other Road&Track-like vehicle review comments.

This response is a little more "in-your-face".

I'm probably gonna get ripped (and if someone had already pointed this out, just ignore this post), but I usually park my Porsche in more than one space. However, it's always in the back of the lot and there's always hundreds of other parking spots that are closer. How can that bother anyone?

Nothing wrong with it at all when it's in the back and spaces are plentiful. It's just that doing so tends to draw more attention to you than parking in one space with the pack would. Wouldn't bother me at all, but then I'm not one to mess with someone's car, even if they richly deserve it.

Well, it bothers me a lot, and I'm probably hundreds of miles from you.

Kidding. If you're some distance away from the herd and there's otherwise no space issues, no one should have a legitimate beef. Still, some will, just because there are people who strive for order and conformity (think/dream within limits, round pegs only in round holes, etc.).

How do you know that later in the day it won't fill up to where you are parked? Just asking.

If it's in the back of the lot and there are plenty of other open spaces then in theory no one will park next to you so you only need one space.

^^^this.

I also try to park away from other people, in spaces where only one side of the car will be exposed to another car. Then I get as far away from that other potential car as possible without going outside of my own space. I have been successful so far.

When I owned my Scirocco, I would often park three inches away from the driver door of a two-space-taker. And still be completely within one parking space.

I remember when I got my first Porsche and went to a big shopping center lot and parked (in one space) far far from the store and 3 rows from the nearest car. Came out of the store and some dickhead had parked about 2' to the right of my car -- still with three empty rows between 'our' spots and any other cars.

I would classify these as minor, since they are not technically using two parking spaces. I'd still think its a bit dangerous, because those spaces are free to give other cars the width to turn right.

Probably it tells people that you think that they are irresponsible....which tends implies that you are not....which further implies that you assume you're better than they are (and/or that you're willing to take more than your share of resources).

It's not the space. It's what the action means to people.

Oddly -- it can create a self-fulfilling prophecy...
