Bummer, I guess I misunderstood what he was saying, sorry.
Totally understand the advantage of four man boats. Good hunting, something will come up. Another neighbor here Steve Baker has a nice sailing canoe and an old 912 Porsche that I've helped him with. I'll see if he knows of something good. Cheers Richard |
Oh, no problem Richard .. I'll find something next time I'm back. My younger canoe friend has almost completed converting his 4-man paddling canoe, so I'll get a taste of it. I just wanted something to keep on a particular K-Bay lawn for us old farts ..
Sounds like you're back in the islands .. full circle? Some canoe surfing entertainment below (Tommy was one of the nicest guys. He passed away at age 44, right where he wanted to be .. paddling with a Waikiki Beach Boys crew ..) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTkRNIVz2s4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIuibfCQCDg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsymftP-4Fg |

Paul Gebauer was one of the North Shore chargers in the mid '60s, with a couple Surfer magazine cover shots to his credit.

Just came in from a morning session. Small but glassy and best part is no drift! It's been out of the south the past few days.
I went back to my 6'6" thruster and ordered new Wavetech fins last night that will arrive next Tuesday. These are the ones with the soft edges...my old ones are starting to chip away from becoming brittle from old age - kinda like me. :) Water is still in the 80's so get it while you can! |
