The more I think about it, the iPhone 4S is going to be great, or blah, based on Siri. The hardware specs are nice but nothing revolutionary. But reliable voice recognition driving an intelligent assistant - if Apple has actually figured out how to put Hal 9000 in your pocket, it will be incredible. We'll see - I pre-ordered one.

Ok you guys that have ordered one. What case are you going to use?

I've been happy with my commuter series otterbox on my 3gs, but I'm open to options.

I'm thinking of getting the OtterBox Defender. My phone gets used in the rain, and needs to last 3+ years because we pass them down to the kids.

I like the Defender, but they make the phone kinda bulky in the pocket, and I'm not a belt clip kinda guy....

I had a thin rubber/hard case. Not much thicker than the phone and protected the front and back. Too bad the rubber portions stretched over time and now I don't use a case.

the Defender is what I have, can be bought cheapest on Amazon. The rubber portion doesn't slide out of jeans pocket very well and after 5-6 months ripped at the thin part by the volume controls. I've been using it without it. Been looking for a different 1. Doesn't work too bad without it though....

AT&T has announced that the company experienced extraordinary demand for iPhone 4S with more than 200,000 preorders in the first 12 hours alone.
According to AT&T, iPhone 4S is the most successful iPhone launch AT&T has ever had.

AT&T said in a statement, “It’s obvious customers like AT&T’s 4G network, which is the only one that lets their iPhone download twice as fast and talk and surf simultaneously.”

We had to go to an ATT storefront to get mine. Persuaded them to let me keep my unlimited data plan.

Why get a new case, isn't it the same design as the original iphone4? Just use the old case. I used a Defender for a while, it's bulky.

I did it online at Apple. $30 unlimited data was the plan I had, and that I chose again. I chose the smallest capacity (16GB) as I think iCloud means local storage will be less important. Anyway that's what I have now. And I chose white, just for a change, but now regret it - think I made the girly choice :-(

Which EXO? Some of their cases cost more than the phone.

I kinda dig the plain aluminum EXO frames but worry about the extra bulk / size it adds.

I have been carrying naked for a long time.

This is the one I ordered. Their whole line is pretty cool.

No iPhone5

I will stick with my current iPhone 4 32 gig model. I like my otterbox defender. I have dropped the phone twice and there is not a mark on the phone. I can't care any less about fashion so do the belt clip. I cary other stuff in my pockets.

Yes and no. Some of the existing cases will work, some will not. It depends on how big the camera hole is. The 4s is has a bigger camera, and so the Otterbox I4 cases won't work, but the Casemate cases will.

It matters not to me... I've got a 3gs so I will need a new case.

I dig the exo cases, but I can't justify spending hundreds on a case....

I ordered a few silicone cases for the iPhone 4 on eBay for $.99 each with free shipping. I also got a 12 pack of the lcd plastic covers for $2.49 delivered. I can't switch to Verizon until 12/04, but when I get the new phones, I want them protected from day one. The two 3GS's we have now are still in new condition because I did this two years ago and I think we'll have no problem selling them on CL for what we end up paying for the new ones from Verizon.

Wow...all those features. I have a question for the tech guys here? Could I still make a phone call on one?
