Considering that you post the exact same thing in EVERY car associated thread on this forum, I really doubt that you're kidding.

BTW, if you had one of the new 5.0 Mustangs I wouldn't have argued.

Let's just say that searching just the OT forum for your posts including the word "Mustang" yielded 500 results, which is the maximum number of results a search will display.

"Blasphemy! As we have all been educated, there is no automobile on earth that can match the greatness of the mighty Mustang! To say otherwise will show your obvious snobbery and hatred for America."

Who said that on 11-28 here? I know it wasn't me...

Lighten up...buy and drive what you like, and I'll do the same, okay?

Oh...and please use green for sarcasm..

If it makes you feel good and go weak in the knees, then do it. You only go around once and there are no do overs.

Said the same about 996, but owned a 2003 gt3, and would probably buy a 996 again, possibly a cab for a cruiser.....

Also said I'd never buy a boxster..... built a boxster-spec last year......

Can't afford it right now, but this would make a nice spec car:

2000 PORSCHE BOXSTER 72k miles

Personally, I'd love to take a Boxster and make it the lightest one in the country. Always been more about weight than hp for me.

The cool factor....

has been engineered out of so many cars. The 60's Mustang looked cool, the Bullett Mustang looked cool. Latter day Mustangs dont look so cool. New 911s look okay and drive well but I still think value for money the Cayman and Boxsters-any year look cool and drive well. However with the Boxster you can put the top down....now thats cool

Nice. For those in the know and want to budget, these Boxsters for the money are incredible deals. Yes, yes, yes with the issues, but if you sort it out, stay away from the Porsche dealer and do the preventive work yourself, its a terrific car. In the Chicago area, on occasion the early models are found in the $6500 to $8k range. Some owners get freaked when the talk of IMS comes up or the noisy lifters and go to the dealer. Dealers offer them ACV of $5000 towards a new car or its a $16,000 engine and the Boxster owner leaves crying.

So are all of the water-cooled 911's.

I think the Cayman is the most desirable of the late-model Porsche road cars. Obviously I'm leaving out the track-focussed GT3's and GT2's in that statement but properly set-up, I bet a Cayman would give one of those a run for their money as well.

I'd love to add one to my garage.

I have always liked the Cayman a lot and thought about getting one, but I don't need another 2-seater (have 2 young kids). My vote is to go for it!

Prediction: You will have one in the garage before the end of next week; signed, sealed and driven home.

Enjoy

My friend might, had a first date last night with her. Only date in my entire life where I've raced; me in my 73, her in her Boxster, from the Museum Science to the restaurant for dinner. It was ungodly fun, and we picked up a 944 Turbo along the way. Too bad the Mass Pike got a little trafficky. Pretty good date.
