FWIF my (former) '08 Tundra CrewMax was easier to maneuver (including parking) than the '06 Tacoma double cab I drove for work...

The double cab I have is way way bigger and less nimble than my 2000 Tundra, it's literally HUGE by comparison.

Wow..... That does not look as bad as I thought it might. After this winter, I might be in the running.

That's what I thought too. I had my choice of two local dealerships. I chose the one in the higher end area of town and I think it paid off. Go to a dealership that has a high customer service reputation as I'm sure this is more or less up to the service manager.

Seriously? Isn't everything in MI that rusty after a few years? I expected far worse.

The Tundra is more domestic than a lot of "domestics." Made in Texas now (originally in Indiana), designed in Michigan, 65% North American content.

Looks like a land rover frame 30 minutes off the lot

Swing and a miss..... Took my '02 Tundra in for the recall and they simply removed the bed and coated the entire frame with some kind of black rust treatment. No new frame for me, but at least it is nicely protected now.
