Way to go Tom!

If we are checking in I weigh essentially the same. I weighed at a different time with boots on and it showed a pound less. If I see -3 or so consistently, I will consider that some progress.

Thanks Kim. It's nice to have a cheerleader and positive feedback!

Last weigh in I missed, but I had not lost any at that point.

I am 185 lbs today for the weigh in.

Despite lots of exercise and a better diet that is only 1 lb off where I started. But I weigh myself every day and I see 2 kilos (4.4lbs) of variance throughout the week. I have been as low as 181 lbs a while back.

back up a bit, 263.5lbs. shouldn't have ate so much on my birthday. Gotta start exercising too to go along with the diet.

Zeke, Schumi, Jeff and Paul, it's the journey not a destination that we are traveling on... We will get there... it's just going to take some time. We can do it... we just need to refocus on today and not look back at yesterday.

I was cooked out by the holidays, so I spent January eating a lot of commercial frozen packaged food. We were at Costco and on impulse I loaded up the cart with frozen pot pies, etc. Sheer laziness.

Now, I controlled calories and rode my bike every day, maintained a deficit. But I didn't lose an ounce. I blame the food. High sodium, high fat, low protein.

I can't believe I did that, and feel lucky to have gotten through the month with flat weight. Back to my normal diet now, which includes almost zero packaged food and almost all scratch-cooking.

Jon, I find this admirable. and am going to work at following your example!

Thanks for the update Jon. Glad to read that you did not gain from eating packaged foods.

Down 3 pounds to 243.9 today, despite my business trip to Germany last week. (Man, they eat some very rich food!)

Signed up for Seattle To Portland, a 200 mile group ride in July. I'll do it as two consecutive 100 mile days. Trying to get my wife to do it too, but if she doesn't bite, I'll go solo. Along with 9,999 others. Preparing should help my (utterly stalled) weight loss effort.
