Good luck Jon... I am prepping for the LA Marathon coming in a few weeks... long day of walking for me...
|
Kim if you want to update the sheet- my last two weigh ins were 185.5 lbs (week before last) and 183.5 lbs (this week's)
|
Thanks Schumi. I will make the updates. Not sure what happened. :)

Ok - I stepped on the scale today -- and I'm down another pound!
Current weight: 242.8. Wish I could shed the pounds quicker, but again -- I'm going in the right direction! -Z-man. |

I am stuck at 185.5...maybe it was the Habit burger last night :D

196.8
I am following Jon's example and doing more cooking and less prepared foods. Also less junk. My wife had Knee Replacement Surgery on the 23rd of Jan. so I have been in charge of the kitchen. A more limited and simpler menu and smaller portions. Everybody is happy. |
-3....224. Back outta whack....0 and I mean 0 exercise and hardly any walking at all.
|
185.6 lb.
Been traveling for work almost the entire past two weeks. Ugh. Back home now and maybe I can actually lose a gram by the next weigh in. |
Thanks for reporting in your weight loss or gain this week. For myself, I put on some ounces like John. Good thing I ate all of the Girl Scout Cookies, now I can get back on track. I will post the chart as soon as I receive the last few weights from the people who have not sent in their losses/gains this week. Then the next date will be 3/5/12.

Hey all, good luck with this.
There is a very good free app for iphone and android called 'myfitnesspal'. Its basically a calorie counter with a huge database of foods behind it, and allows you to scan or plug in your own foods. Very easy to use, it forces you to consider everything that goes in teh cake hole, and allows you to understand whats in that twinky or beer or apple, calorifically speaking. It also factors the other side of the calorific equation, exercise. You exercise, you can eat more calories. You set your weight target (up, down, hold) it tells you how many nett calories (food in minus exercise) you need to achieve your target weight. And in praise of the humble treadly for old guys- an hour of race pace riding (20mph) burns 1350 calories. Way more than the equivalent time on weights, walking running or swimming. So in my case, Im allowed 1200 calories daily, I burn 1350 on the bike daily- so I can consume 2550 (pretty much eat anything) and still lose 2pds per week. If I dont ride- I have to be very careful about consumption- or at least understand the consequences. Its a really helpful tool. |
