Worst place you've ever eaten?

Well, we're here in Cali rightnow, waiting for NAMM to start tomorrow. After the last few days of not eacting much aside from Dizzyland, we decided to head over to a place we spotted while riding the Monorail, not wanting to spend too much.

Wow.

Here'es the review I just wrote on Yelp. And Google. Any other places i can post this at? It should be a crime to screw food up this badly

===========

Captain Kidds.

I really wish it were possible to give a place zero stars, but unfortunately,, it's not. So I've opted for one.
After a long day of tooling around Dizzyland, my girl and I decided to eat here because it was close by

What.
A.
Mistake.

As another person said, we failed to notice the unhappy faces of the other customers. We didn't notice any unusual smell though, so we figured "ehh, we'll see"
Well, we saw alright. We saw food service coming out right next to the bathrooms. That gave me the chills.
To start, anything containing noodles, such as lasagne, was about the consistency of diarrhea. The mashed potatoes and gravy.. the gravy was bland, slightly chalky, and about the consistency of watered down preschool paste. But I'm sure the paste tastes better.
The baked chicken fell off the bone, but only because it was SO overcooked that it really had NO CHOICE because it was mushy. Not only was it bland and flavorless, but while it was dry, it also seemed moist at the same time. How to they do THAT? Soak it it liquid before serving to wet it down?
The "pulled pork" was more like a lump of steamed fat. I really didn't notice anything remotely "meat" at all. Just fat. Slathered in BBQ sauce.
The taco-meat filling...ground "whatever" it was was, I think, worse than Taco Bell. While not terrible, it was very under seasoned, and again, about the consistency of the contents of a diaper.
The lettuce on the salad bar was very wet and watery. the salad dressings were watered down, the corn tasted odd, and the consistency was somewhat rubbery.
I think, for me, the most edible thing may have been the burgers, but I only had one, because I don't know how long they'd been sitting there. Or maybe the Coke. You can't screw that up, really.
All in all, this place made me want to go find a big, sweaty "member" to suck, just to get the AWFUL taste out of my mouth. And I doubt even that would work.
I'm tempted to dispute the charges on my credit card, because what they're passing off as food, certainly isn't.
I can't believe someone could screw "food" up this badly. My ex wife couldn't cook. This place made me miss her food "butchery" quite a lot.

Never again.

=========

Actually, my ex wife was quite a good cook.. but for the review's sake...

Wow. I've never eaten at such a bad place. Makes the Chinese Buffets in Seattle look 4-star.

Just the name of the place would prevent me from eating there.

ate at a chinese buffet place in Portland, Indiana when i was younger. i distinctly remember a placard that read "we change food daily" on the buffet.

....the projectile vomiting commenced within 20 minutes of eating.

Don't eat at places like that. There are so many places if you are willing to drive down Katella Ave or nearby streets for a few minutes. There should be a ton of places around there. When I am traveling, I try to eat at Chains I know are good like Claim Jumpers. There's one just outside of Knott's about 5-10 minutes away. Good food, but not too expensive. Those kid places are worst then cafeteria food.

For me it was a Chinese buffet in Norcross, GA. Food poisoning sucks.

I have eaten in several bad restaurants in my life but the most recent came to mind was a local Thai Restaurant. We ordered food to go and I got one long black hair in my food. I will never go back. Hope this does not spoil your next meal
Even tho the food was good up to the point of finding that hair, its over. Hair nets are a must.

With the internet, urban spoon, etc. these places should be out of business. How can these places pass the food inspectors? There's one regulation I sort of agree with.

Post your review on Urbanspoon.

Some place on the River Walk in San Anotnio. The chicken was raw, I sent it back and they tried to charge us for it anyway.

I don't eat at restaurants where you can smell the food from the parking lot.

I received a miniature pony tail at the Naam, in Vancouver.

Really? People rave about that place. They are building them here, but I haven't seen one yet.

I can hardly eat out anywhere anymore. I'll eat some simple Mexican food. Hard to screw up a bean tostada. Pizza around here is garbage.

Christopher's Ristorante Italiano in Sonora, Calif. Had been backpacking and camping and got a motel to clean up and wanted something good after eating "freeze dried".

Ordered a pizza Margherita (real tough to make, right?) took it back to the room pulled a piece and it wasn't even cooked. Took it back and told the waitress it was raw, I would like it well done, take your time I'm not in a hurry. Waited another 20 minutes, grabbed it and went back to the room, still raw (I should have checked). Took it back to the restaurant and told the waitress there must be something wrong with their oven.

Well, the chef/owner (and I use the term "chef" loosely) comes out and starts complaining to me! I tell him I want my money back, I'll eat elsewhere, and he wants to charge me for the 2 pieces I threw in the trash. I was going to sign up for Yelp just to bash that MFer's place, maybe I still will, I'm getting mad just thinking about it.

I can eat anything (except liver) and not complain, but this was too much.

Have eaten at several 5 Guys locations. Pretty good burgers and good fries and a reasonable price.

Note: Wife ordered a vege-burger. The vege-burger is the regular hamburger - cut the meat.
