Only ghetto if you make it so. Otherwise they're fantastic looking cars, and probably a blast to cruise around in.

The trunk of my '65 measured 6' x 6' (maybe just a tad less than 6 deep).

I had a '66 Impala 396 SS when I was in high school. Loved that car.

Oh well. We can always count on the troll "playa" to ruin a perfectly good thread with an eyesore.

Where's the Taste Police when you need them?

(btw, this is the car of Albert Galavitz, and the photo is from "Rides" magazine back in 2010)

I'm not big on low rider stuff, but that's not half bad.

The interior views may change your mind.

Look, I appreciate the effort. Heck, almost anyone who works on cars is ok in my book, but sometimes the extremes of their work are a bit hard to agree with.

But then, I'm sure there are some misguided individuals who don't agree with Reaper930's work (the ultimate badass tribute 935).

One of the iconic cars of the 60's and 70's. Perfect example of my thread on the end of creativity in our society.

Growing up as a preteen my older brothers friend "Slim" loved Impalas. Owned quite a few. They were all sleepers so he could wax other hot shots off the line at red lights. This was in the mid-late 60's during the muscle car golden age.

When I was in my last year of college at UF, myself and another senior in the Horticulture program were chosen to live in a cottage at the department's greenhouse and research facility. In exchange for rent we looked after the place after the day employees left and on weekends. It was a sweet deal having access to all those greenhouses and the huge conservatory after hours. I gave more than one date midnight tours the likes of which they could never get from anyone else. But I digress.....my roommate [Gary Ingram] had an old Impala...that metallic blue color that was so popular. It was a 70 something. Ah memories.....

We had a new 1967 Impala pea-green with a vinyl top in the family. It had a small 283c.i. and two speed auto. Looked and ran great for many years until one of my sisters inhereited it and she plowed into someone or something and off into the dust it went. Would have loved to have that sled today.

I went back yesterday afternoon, well over 3 hours worth of driving. No old man, no car. Some random guy came up, nice enough but wouldnt give me contact info nor the name of the old guy. I left my card.
If you haven't been to some of the old towns in northern New Mexico, it is like stepping into the past and when you veer off the main road, eyes start following you.
I also looked at an early 60s nova but it was rotted. Any suggestions on what other cars to look at besides the gto and mustang (only cars that I know of).
