Exclamation Check your balls!

Since there have been a few thread on prostate health and
April is Cancer Awareness Month I thought it might be fitting to discuss another over looked area in terms of men's health.

April is Men's Cancer Awareness Month

Last week I was at my gastro doc getting the once over (Crohn's Disease) and he shocked me with the following..................

"How are your balls?" "Good "I responded, "how are yours?"

He then proceeds to whip out his I Phone and says, "take a look at this".

A Touching Public Service Announcement from Rhian Sugden - Lingerie Hottie

I sat there with my jaw open....but it got the point across.

Check your balls or get someone to do it for you!

The perfect women!

I opened it at work and had to close it before it finished or I would have been fired.

Thanks for the warning. I think I'll just have to check out this important men's health warning when I get home from the office.

Good video. Does'nt everybody check their testicles(your own of course)?. I used to have a coworker who lost a testicle to cancer. You can still function on one though. You lose both and you get to sing in the choir!

Had the nut cancer back in 1990 when I was 26. Found a lump on a dumpling and went to my GP, he dismissed it as nothing-February. Went back again-May- and he made me feel like a fool. Found a different GP, went in and he was heading down the road to dismiss it too...."look it" I say, "I know these boys pretty well and I want you to prove there is no problem."

Refers me to a great Urologist, he schedules an ultrasound...July. Day after the ultrasound he calls and says we are scheduled to take the testicle out tomorrow, be at the hospital. Had to miss the Page/Plant concert...that sucked.

They do the biopsy and find two types of cancer....slow mover and fast kind. Ended up removing lymph-nodes in my abdomen -August-and 6 months chemo.

I never begrudge Dr.s making the big bucks....they do something I am mentally incapable of, but nobody really has your interest in mind 150% except you.

I took a package of testicular cancer pamphlets and dropped them off at Dr#1 office after all my hair fell out.

I had a buddy loose one to cancer and I have always taken this issue seriously.

Personally I am not shy or ashamed of any body or health issues. I believe that we are all the same when looked at from a biologic / medical perspective.

Everyone always feel that "it can't happen to me" or "that will never happen", but guess what, it happens to someone.

Cancer screening is a must.

Now, let's not forget men's breast cancer and of course skin cancer. Don't be shy!

Yay! I was an oncology nurse for 15 years and seeing this makes me happy! Awesome video. Good way to get to the targeted market.

And in nursing school, we had fake balls to practice feeling for lumps. The boys in the class got to do full breast exams on some of us. How is that fair?

Good job being proactive in cancer awareness!

Hey tweezer, long time no see. good to see you here.
Of course it's not fair when the girls can do the exam on the balls while the guys can only exam the breast.

Not enough is done on men's cancer awareness, although it's right up there is breast and cervical cancer. Guys, don't become another statistic.

Lost one about 5 years ago - thankfully caught early and no chemo for me, just 5 yrs of tests / surveillance.

2 kids later, I'm planning on getting the other one snipped - hopefully I get a 1/2 discount on the procedure
