Amen, and I envy you Hugh. My next door neighbors on one side are great, the other side inconsiderate white trash that let their little ankle biting dog slip through the fence and crap in our yard. When confronted they simply deny it, no remorse on their part. They also built a HUGE kids playhouse, trampoline, leave their kids' stuff all over the yard, don't take care of their place, and knocked out cable service when they had a fence put in by a cut rate company.

I'm planning to add a 3rd car garage on the good neighbor side, I just had a survey done to confirm that I have the room. My FIRST stop for approval will be my neighbors.

While rural OK. fences are not prone to rot, weather updates have been known to result in leaning problems too.

We used that recycled plastic lumber to build the bed frames at our kids school garden four years ago, and it is still holding up very well. this is in very rainy wearher area. And it is still like new. You might suggest the idea to your neighbors. It costs a bit more than wooden lumber until you have to do the wooden structure over again.
