Battleship: Every cliche in the book, but...
You know what?
It was actually pretty good! For a movie based on a board game. If you like "blow-em-up" movies, you might like it. It's no Independence Day, but it's a heckuva lot better than Skyline was. Or The Darkest Hour. Or Battle of Los Angeles. But not as good as The Thing. or Cowboys and Aliens.

I need to take my son, it looks to be a great movie to shut off the brain and watch stuff explode.

I made it thru Skyline and Battle, Los Angeles. So if upscale from those, it sounds worth the watch.

I have to admit it really got me pumped when AC/DC was blaring as the old guys fired up the ship.

If you saw (or plan to see) the movie, and you don't know this actor's backstory, you're gonna want to see these vids...

I enjoyed it. I was stationed on a ship in Pearl Harbor, did two RIMPACS like they did in the movie. Was onboard Aegis ships like the ones in the movie. I was a Fire Controlman so I shot missiles and guns like in the movie. I had to push the "I believe" button many times but was still entertained. Thought it was cool the enemy munitions that landed on the ships were in the shape of the pegs used in the board game. And I really like the old salty guys on the battleship.
