Garage
I have one bolted to the floor in the corner of a closet. It'd be nearly impossible to wrestle it out of the closet to get on its side and then pry open. They'd have an easier time cutting the wall out, but then my washer and dry are on the other side of that wall. Most important is to not load your guns into your car when others can see you. I do this with the garage doors closed, so no one sees it.

ah..you probably got it all correct.

i have no dog in that fight..not even my town. most gun owners have hardware unlocked and unsupervised. the main home defense gun is unlocked.

i wont discuss my layout.

some cops are the worst gun owners. familiarity breeds...i forget the saying.

i know some policemen that spend so much money on firearms and dont even own a gun safe. or they own a cheap one.

your opinion is very similar to mine anyways.

Vash...I think the first step we can take is making it a crime if you leave your weapon untended and someone uses it for a crime. You are an accessory before the fact. If someone is responsible enough to own a gun you must be responsible. I agree with what you say about some LEO's and lax attitudes.

BTW...good looking safe.

Yes the recent events has me more aware I have to be more responsible with my weapons. Maxx would kill anybody coming in here but Maxx himself could be shot

I always liked this idea... The front of that column is false and lockable.

always thought hiding the safe was a great way to ad an extra layer f defense.

a friend was cleaning out his grand dad's house after his death. they found the safe, but most of the really interesting pieces were missing. after days of clearing stuff out they found an extra junk waterheater laying in the basement with a a hidden hatch in the bottom. clever old guy.

Looks like I'm going with a Champion Trophy. just not sure of the size. I will say one thing here. This is a VERY small item in the scheme of things but if anything good came out of last Firday's events it's people are taking gun ownership more serious. The LGS I went to has sold 15 safes since Friday. That doesn't even count the cabinets that are just flying out of the store. That's a good thing.
I also ordered this for my bedside S&W 4006...
