Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

The DOG thread

 Thanks Dan, Our vet is the bomb! We picked Henry up an hour ago. The poor little guy was put through the ringer today. 16 "huge" staples along his side because she had to remove so much tissue to remove the "mole". It was much bigger than thought and she didn't like the look of it. So off to the lab it has gone for biopsy. His teeth were cleaned with 5 needing to be pulled. Luckily they were the itty bitty ones(schnauzer) scale located on the lower jaw between the K9's. Adopting an older puppers is always a gamble. At the tune of $1100.00, we hope he will be ok. She is nervous on the tissue being biopsied which has us a bit nervous. Miss Olive and Miss Emma send their best wishes for Henry.
 With our last pup (Snap), she popped her staples out on the second or third night. They had to go in there again because it was already healing. Not a good thing. I had a thread about her. " My dog has cancer" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That picture is hilarious Bugs. What's in that bowl, vodka?
 It's 4:30 and I up with little Mary. Her "grandma" and I are taking care of her for a day to give DIL a break. Her routine is - eat, short nap, play, pee, poo, play, long nap, whine, repeat - on about a 3 hour cycle, with lots of random whining to be picked up and cuddled. Grandma took the first shift and I've been up since 2 AM on the second shift. It's about time for the "I'm hungry" whine to begin. I'm going to teach her to lay on the sofa and watch football this afternoon.

 Hemmy, 8 year old Border Collie from a dear friend and brother to our Dog Heylo, was diagnosed with cancer today. This news hit us very hard. No time left to start a treatment.  It feels very unfair to have to say goodbye from such a sweet and gentle creature.  Hemmy (top) and his sister in crime Heylo (below) Hemmy, You will be missed dearly. Godspeed.
