Crazy Ex is on the rampage

It's a long story. The short version: Ex tells me she wants out about 4 years ago. It turns out she had someone else. He ran before we even got half way though finishing the divorce. I hooked up with a nice lady and the Ex has been in a jealous rage for over 2 years. I thought that once we had a settlement in place some of her crazy behavior would fade. Not so.

She keyed my car recently. It's pretty nasty. She has gotten my girlfriend's car too.
She came to pick up my daughter and realized my girlfriend was watching her. She went into a rage and threw a lawn ornament at her though a window. The girlfriend is physically fine, mentally shook up and the window is busted. We filed charges and court dates are forth coming.

I recently discovered that the tax refund check I was waiting for was cashed by her. She literally stole it out of my mailbox. I know she cashed it because I have a copy of the canceled check and it has the same info as her bank and a likeness of her signature on it.

I am trying to figure out how to deal with the check thing. It isn't a lot of money, but it pisses me off that she would steal something from my mailbox. I guess I am going to file a police report and then a complaint to the post office.

What to do?

Take the high road and do what is possible to keep you and your girlfriend safe. Other than that, don't waste time over crazy. Go and live your life to the fullest. Sooner or later, she will realize she is being nuts. And she doesn't, then just be grateful you still aren't with her.

She isn't, by chance, a meth-addicted stripper, is she? All of my friends from back in the day have gone through this same thing with women holding those exceptional skills. Just be glad she hasn't cleaned out your house yet.

The one guy who actually did something about it had her sent to jail. Worked.

Tweeze, I have tried the turn the other cheek thing. It hasn't got me very far. The thing is that she uses my daughter as a tool against me. The worst part is that I agreed to a number of things in the settlement thinking that would make the peace. She just keeps on coming at me and she is not showing any signs of stopping. Trying to break into the place and attacking my girlfriend is the last straw. It seems like things are escalating, not calming down.

The hard part is that while I question her mental stability, she has her wits about her. She is clever and dangerous.

I just want to have this all behind me. If my daughter was not part of this, I would find a nice remote place to hang out far away from her. I never understood how a guy could consider leaving his kids until now. Still it just isn't an option for me. My daughter is much too important and I get used this way.

Concealed Handgun License - Shall Issue states have a list of criteria, you meet those and they have to give you the license

Shall Issue State, they won't/can't deny you a concealed carry permit unless you have a criminal record or are psychotic yourself.

Sounds extreme but so does your ex.

I have to +1 this. Both messing with a federal check, and the federal post office in one swoop. YIKES! Messing with the post office and stealing mail is a big no no, deep kaka there.

All I can say is I feel for you. I hope she doesn't read this forum. Your situation sounds grave. I could give advice about getting your daughter into therapy, but everything I have ever tried has turned to schit in the end. I have been in similar circumstances more than once. I started to see a psychologist a little over a month ago to try & help me sort things out.

I did everything I could for my daughter, fought a 2 year custody battle when I saw her mother going off the deep end & won when she was twelve. I won the battle, but lost the war. My daughter died in her mothers home last April. This is only half of what I've been dealing with, but I'm well versed in crazy mean women.

Remember you have to live with the your choices.

The stalking. The late night backyard strolls. The telling children lies. The meth. The new biker boyfriend(who probably didn't seek publicity). The notes all over town instructing people to rob him. The commercial explosives.

She stopped after jail.

yep....contact the postmaster.....what she did is a no hold barred go directly to jail type thing......they do not f around...and if was a large dollar amount it'll be a major felony....
I had some kid steal his neighbors credit card out of his mailbox and went on a spending spree.....found out after the fact obviously, the dumbass showed back up to the store to have something warrantied......the fbi was there in 12 minutes from me calling the contact info should he show up........he's still in jail.... 10 years later...
you are dealing with a government issued check.....bigger deal.......stop playing nice....lock her up.

I agree with contacting the police and postmaster - write it out; stick to the facts & give them each a copy/and/or mail it - use an offsite drop box, not your home mailbox.
