So, thinking out loud - you're on your own in the bush - seems you'd need a saw rather than a big-ass knife. Lots easier to cut wood with a saw than with a knife. Granted, a saw doesn't look as cool as a Crocodile Dundee knife.

You CAN use a knife to take down trees, chop wood, etc.
You can NOT use a saw to skin an animal or sharpen a spear. Look up "bushcraft". Anyway, Jerid makes solid knives. So do a lot of other custom knifemakers. Don't hesitate to shop around and ask folks' opinions. Warning: knives tend to multiply when you leave them near each other. ![]() ![]() ![]()
