If there is an airline anywhere on this planet that is better than Singapore Airlines then I really want to fly with them.

Can you imagine-a crash with all that bull crap coming forward faster than the plane has ever gone.
One day a biggun will happen.

I have my own ideas of that... but it will be a travesty. A crash in that flying labyrinth will dispose almost ALL as opposed to a smaller aircraft.
No not a Bonanza but a 747.
It is just a matter of time.

Treated myself in 1982 to a British Airways Concorde flight New York-London. On that plane there was only first class. A memorable trip.

After flying in the cattle car section from Atlanta to Hawaii non-stop, we paid for the upgrade on the way back. What a difference in room.

I used to do business class London to NYC semi regularly for work and got an upgrade to first on one trip with BA. You get a flat bed and a bigger screen with a nicer wine list, otherwise its the same as Business. Still, it was fun - I had some corny LOL American movie on and I was working through the wine list when I realised everyone else had got into their jim jams and was trying to sleep - with me literally laughing out loud and trying not to snort wine. It was a 6:30pm flight out of London, who sleeps on an early evening flight?! Whatever the rich and pampered folks are smoking, I don't want it!

BTW, I do economy London to NZ on a fairly regular basis - and survive just fine in the back of the plane. When its my own money, I just can't see the point.

Ummm...... You do realize all that stuff is bolted down? And in a crash violent enough for all that to break loose, I highly doubt that's going to bf the life/death determining factor.....

Yeah. I'm going to stick to smaller airliners. They do better in crashes.

WTF??

AA 767 Heathrow to ORD several times. A British oil company I worked for had a deal with AA if you bought a business class seat and there was a first class seat available you got bumped up fo' free.

Could never get the bump flying out Friday afternoon - had to wait till the early morning Saturday flight to get the upgrade.

Got bumped from Business to First on British Air a few times and flew Business (not first class) on Emirates from NYC to Hamburg on 777 which was very nice.

I worked for UAL at LAX in the 90s so whenever there was seat open in first class I would enjoy a nicer seat & better food. The most memorable aspect though were some of the people & conversations.
