Beautiful! Really looking forward to completing this. Gun case? Is that something I should get? Last time, he just walked out with the gun. No box or anything. I was expecting to see what it came in. Am I off base thinking that?

If David is sending it in a gun case and they bring it out without one, then get all the paperwork completed and start to walk out with the spoon, then have a "columbo moment" and turn around and ask them "where is the gun case that the gun was shipped with?"

If they would try to not give you the case, it just cements everyones feelings about this group of people.

Doing the right thing under duress is not doing the right thing. Despite this Clint character making it right (eventually), it sounds as if he was rude, unprofessional, dishonest, and slow throughout the entire process. Don't know about you guys, but not the sort of people that I like to do business with.

As for David, it further cements my theory that Pelicans is good people.

Thanks guys. I do my best to be honest and fair...and do good work. It went out today. Now get this... he sent me a prepaid USPS ticket to send it back. Good thought but, it was for $18.00 as a flat rate package. Because I packed it better in a cloth gun case, that of course didn't cover it, AND of course he did not pony up for any insurance, so I had to go the dough for the insurance. Now I'm not writing this in order to get any restitution for those expenses, don't EVEN think about sending me any money, but it's just one more way that he shows that he is a poor choice to do biz with. Anyway it's on it's way.

Spoon was delivered at 11am Monday and no word from them by Tuesday so I went there. When I walked in, Clint and the first guy ( I'll call him Scotty ) were there. No sign of Eric.
Scotty saw me, smiled, got up and said "I'll get your gun" and went into the back. Clint didn't recognize me ( didn't expect him to, been 3+ yrs ) and he said "Transfer?"
I said "Yes, I'm Don, here for the shotgun".
He said "Which one?"
"The side by side that was damaged."
Clint said "OH! THAT one". Nodded his head, looked away then turned, walked over to a desk and sat down.

Scotty came out with the cloth case and said "When I realized which one this was, I stopped and didn't unpack any further". He placed it on the counter and backed away "Here you go."
I opened the case, removed it and placed it on top of the case. Looked it over thoroughly. Scotty asked "How does it look?"
I said "All good".
Scotty added "That's a very cool old SxS. Very nice". Then he processed the transfer, thanked me for by business and apologized for the damage and delays. He was very professional and polite.

Clint never looked over and never said a word.

Transaction complete. I'll never go back.

My shotgun looks bad ass. VERY, VERY happy with it! Boo-yah! David ROCKS! Thanks!!

Good to hear that things went well. Sorry that Clint was such a jerk but now we know...

You can post some photos while you are out shooting it you know!

Well it seems all of our feelings about Clint were spot on. Not hard to spot as we have all been there at some time. We know what guys like him look like.

I'm sorry this was such a stressful event, but glad it all worked out. Enjoy your gun, be gentle she's old. Try to remember to use low pressure shells. Here is a link to a mail order house for ammo just perfect for her. Any more probs just send her back again. Lifetime warranty.

Polywad - Shotgun Shell Developer and Manufacturer - (800) 998-0669

Thanks again for your purchase, patience, and friendship.

I would like to do that and meet up with you Art. Is it at the fairgrounds or at the expo center?

Check yer schedule Art I think the fairgrounds show was this weekend 20/21. There is an Ohio gun Collectors "meeting" at the expo center next weekend but it is closed to the public.
