Yea, it's amazing how much a woman will complain about every little short coming when thier man isn't necasarily romantic, have money or a good job, doesn't look like an underwear model, or drinks/gambles/curses too much. NOW, take that same guy and make him famous with loads of cash, and all of a sudden, hot girls are falling all over him.
Just look at the girls Larry King, Hugh Hefner, and Donald Trump have been married/linked to and explain it any other way. |

Think about it... What have men done to get to that little triangle? Wars have been fought for the pleasure.
Men in general are much more likely to be needy and they often think the puppy dog routine is attractive to women. ![]() How many not so attractive women or just plain butt ugly, barrel shaped "bushpig" types do you know who have good self esteem? It defies logic but I've met plenty. ~~~~ And there's a line up of guys waiting their turn for freeish sex. Yuck... Women have the power. They always have.

There must be millions who are desperate otherwise there wouldn't be so many damned commercials for match.com etc. where the whole idea is to get married.

I did very well on Match for years with no intention at all of getting married. In fact, letting anyone think you're looking for a spouse can be a huge turn off. Women only have the power over men who let them have it.

Rick, are a lot of the people on there just looking to date? I'm sure it makes a lot more sense than at work or bars or whatever. I only know one guy who used it and he met his wife pretty quickly, now they're happily married with a kid.

So, in summary, I think in both sides, males and females, we exist in all forms on this "evolution" spectrum. We have some men who still rely on their large bank accounts to woo women. There are women out there who rely heavily on their large breasts and sexuality to woo men. But to tell you honestly, neither is wrong. Each is trying to get the "best" mate with their best possible tool. If you aren't the hottest guy (Donald Trump) why not use money to woo your definition of the best mate? And if you had the best rack ever, why wouldn't you use it? You rely on the best tool you have. It's all good. And that's what makes love and the art of attraction such a fascinating thing. We can all make up theories and talk experience, but it's one of those mysteries we will never completely understand. I could write about 1000 more pages on my thoughts on relationships, men, women, etc, but I have bored you guys long enough.

A) Female B) Sensible C) can write in the English language in an articulate manner D) Sensible E) Doesn't resort to childish name calling F) Sensible I personally find the female of the species so unfathomable that I essentially have given up on them. I go out of my way to avoid any social interaction with them....they just don't make sense and for a guy as logic-bound as I, it just raises blood pressure and nothing else. I think the term these days is celibate. Certainly my wife hates it... So, if you can explain what the heck I am missing, I would be eternally grateful. D. |

That's nice of you to say, cloggie. I love talking male/female/relationship stuff. It fascinates me. I think if I didn't become a nurse, I would want to major in sociology. I have been told by many of my male and female friends that sometimes, I think much like male, while other times, I think like a female. I am by no means and expert on relationships or the psyche of males or females. I just like talking about it so I have heard a lot of different perspectives including mine.
Ironically, I find it amusing I am commenting on this thread. I vow to never get married again.

Tweeze, I enjoy your perspective. A relationship based solely on physical attraction is destined to failure, but so too is a relationship with no physical attraction. Sex is a big part of a healthy marriage, to ignore that is ignorant of how we are wired as animals. Sadly many, particularly women, no longer like to acknowledge this as we are now a more enlightened society. Give me a break....... I'll provide one counterpoint for this thread - married 10 years and couldn't be happier. Were it not for my wife I'd probably be a drunken loser, or perhaps dead. Instead I'm just a successful drunk, much better!
