Two year anniversary

Got this car two years ago this week from Florida, Kaisen helped me get it. It worked out well. I still like the car, thanks again Eric.

Nice! Is it an M or just a coupe? I've always loved the clownshoes.

Yep I've all ways liked the quirky mini sport wagon look of that model, a lot really.
Do you use the extra space for hauling things, does it add to the usability for you?
Hows the maintenance requirements/ reliability. Does it also have the cool system issues as other 3ltr. BMWs?

Cheers Richard

BReif61 Nice! Is it an M or just a coupe?
It's the Z3, no M, it's a 2001 so it has the better engine, 3.0, 225 hp, 5 speed. A few upgrades in the 2001.

Next, it is more useable than my 911, it has real space behind the seats, even though, everytime I buy another tool for my stone sculpture work I say I need to sell it and get something bigger.
It has the same cooling problems and window problems, seats, as the other 3 series. It isn't solid lifters like the M so a little cheaper on maintenance, I actually think the upkeep on the 911 was less, but that may be just that is was such a good car.
It only has 80k miles so I haven't had to replace the radiator yet, maybe another 10k miles.
Not as common around here as a Porsche (they made 860 3,0s in 2001, 50 this color).

Nice.
I have always liked these cars. I have not purchased a car with/from Eric personally but he has been helpful on here for me on a couple of occasions. Thanks Eric!

I got to drive one of those, an M-spec car. What an absolute kick in the pants. I didn't really like the car at all based on it's looks until I got inside of it and drove it. By the second curved full-throttle on ramp display of speed, great handling and lovely steering feel, I decided that it was FIERCELY sexy!

can't see what a clown shoe looks like if you are sitting in it

My insurance man kept trying to pawn off his M coupe on me for silly cheap money. It smelled of cheap whores, and dogs in the interior, and the front bumper was scraped to all hell, but other than that , it was a nice car. I love those cars. really fun to drive. Felt more nimble, and tossable than our M3. I Sort of regret not grabbing it up, but the last thing I needed at that time was another fun/toy car.
I remember when you bought that. Man, 2 years goes by fast.

Two years? Wow, time flies!

I don't think people know just how rare these cars are.
As Dean mentioned, there were only 860 of them for the US market in 2001......There were more F150s built today before lunch

2001 is the year to own in a non-M Z3.

80K miles? You've been driving it! I love seeing the photos at the shows you've attended.

Thanks to Bell for helping facilitate the PPI in Florida.....his shop was only a few blocks away from the seller.

Nice car Dean!

And good job Eric and Bell.

Always loved those Z3's and a wagon would be even better!
