I'm probably one of the worst violators of butt cleveage while working on cars. My husband just stands there, watching me, like a piece of meat. Although I owe him a huge apology. I have for years given him hell about wearing his good clothes out to work on greasy stuff and guess who has chalked up quite a few pairs of nice jeans to, "I was too lazy to change before" heading out"....me. Don't tell him I admitted to that it would ruin my whole rep.

Where's Tweezy at, she can probably vouch for butt cleveage too...

If Cobra Automotive will share their lower A-Arm relocation you might want to buy the a-arms from them UNLESS their lower A-Arm has been cut and bent. I saw one pic of a lower A-Arm failure from one getting a c-cut and angle job.

LEAVE thesteering worm& Ball box in it the rack and pinion that TCP made never felt as safe at speed even if you think about getin rid of 3 ball joints

Does your '70 have front drum brakes? The '70 Drum Brake spindles are a 1 year wonder and are the strongest. ( Had a pair on mine and had them x-rayed)

Don't bother with the Lincoln Versailles Rear dics. GO bigger.

Add in a Tremec 5 spd you might need to cut the tunnel and raise it some to get a better drive shaft angle.

I bought my Tremec prior to the road race one coming out. The old box had too wide of a ratio and too low of first. In order to get the cam to work I based it off of 2nd gear and hwy speed. I had a 3spd '67 shifter welded onto a 5 speed lower shifter. to hide the facy that it had a modern trans. The dumbass pot head who welded it for me first made it with the 5speed lever to a 3 spd trans! I might have it if you want!

For most applications you'll want a 10-1 first gear ratio and mine was around 13-1 but overdrive in 5th was 2.79 final drive. With the 245/50/16's 5,200 rpm was 152 miles an hour not that the car did it on the 605 freeway heading up hill from Irwindale Speedway to making the corner to the west 210 freway. If you jumped on the car in 3rd gear it would light the tires up at 65 mph for a couple dozen yards.

The cam came in around 3k and would pull to 6,400 rpm and over-rev to 7k where it was limited. If the engines 364 rwp at 6.400 would overcome the air drag it would see 187 mph if I found the road.

I've looked at everything you posted. My only conflict is how far to go. The car is a stock convertible at the moment, I just don't want to go too far to the race end of the spectrum when I just want a fun driver. It's a convertible, so it's never going to be a great race car.

It has front power discs. Instead of rebuilding the rear drums I'll probably just do a disc conversion. Any thoughts on the kits that Summit sells?

The drivetrain is the original 302 2bbl with a C4 auto, 44k and never rebuilt. I'm going to rebuild the brakes, fuel system, convertible top, and suspension before I mess with it. The conflict here is to modify the existing 302 vs a crate motor or swap. It's a car that I will never sell (belonged to my grandfather), so residual value isn't of huge concern.

It is a bad thing, as if we(girls) don't have worry about dudes looking at our asses enough during the normal course of our day. nothing annoys me more than that when i'm actually trying to get **** done. I constantly get all of my jeans filthy from car dirt. You probably already know this, but liquid Tide is the miracle drug. Every time I do laundry, I take a capful and pour it directly on the bad spots and then lift them out w/ fingernail. Sometimes, by the time I'm done doing that, there isn't any left to pour in the regular part of machine! Doesn't matter, of course, if the whole capful is on parts of my jeans and shirts, it dilutes fine into the rest of load.

I've been a bachelor and gear head for a long time, so have to do my own laundry and sort of got it down to a science. This advice is for anyone it might help, even if you don't need it. I would have ruined so many jeans by now if not for knowing this stuff...I'd have to buy new ones every week. I can be sitting in a fancy hotel lobby chatting with "clean people" and no one is the wiser that the jeans I'm wearing have been through blackened hell more times than could be counted.

I just retire my old jeans to garage duty. They're so spotted with oil stains and paint that they look like camo. Your approach sounds like it actually requires work.

I like coveralls as well. I especially like that I can load up my pockets with my tools, parts, and equipment, without worrying about my pants falling down and hitching them up constantly. On the other hand, a bowel emergency/urgency can be a challenge.

I made the mistake of not going extreme enogh and spent 2x the cash doing it twice. the stock heads will limit you to 240ish rear wheel hp at best if you have a big pocket book and storage just store all of the take off parts and engine. as for the brakes got a link? If you're keeping the C4 or auto box you will need MORE brakes than a manual car. I would want 11x1 vented on the rear and 12x1 1/4 on the front
