Hey kaisen have a question for you

Can you tell me what a 2010 4runner Limited with 26000 miles is worth wholesale or market value? I found one but not sure if I really want to pull the trigger. If its something you can't do, due to some business issue, please tell me. I will understand.

I think I have narrowed it to a Rav4 but really want a 4runer. This will be my daily driver when I am not driving my big old Dodge diesel. the Rav4 I want is the v6 awd and it gets better mileage then the 4 runner. Th\anks

jeff

Jeff, just a vote of confidence for the 4rd gen 4Runner, we bought a 2003 V6 Sport 4x4 brand new and sold it to Paul (Seahawk) at around 70k because we needed more room for the growing family. Paul is at nearly 190k and using it for a daily driver, he reports that it has been essentially flawless. They are fantastic trucks.

My dad has a 2006 he bought new and now has 151k on it and besides the routine maintenance I help him with, not a single repair or breakdown ever. Amazing cars that still rides like new today.

My 2004 4Runner has 124K miles on it and not a squeak or a rattle to be found. Interior and exterior still in great condition.

Just look it up on NADA dot com. Those are what are known as "book vehicles", IOW they bring what the book says retail/wholesale. Just make sure to correctly enter the miles/model/equipment.

Yup. 188k and climbing, still as solid as picking the 49'ers to win the Super Bowl

I picked my partner up at BWI yesterday for a meeting in Columbia, Maryland and he kept commenting on the relatively high miles and the fact that the thing doesn't rattle or squeak, quiet and powerful.

I'll be in this thing for a lot longer.

The more important question is: How do you go from a Dodge diesel truck to a (Grandma) Rav4? I mean, I can see a 4-Runner, but you'd have to have blue hair and a walker to get into a Rav4.

Rusnak,
Not picking a fight with you but my 2006 v6, Rav 4 is faster than my Pcar. Pulled a 3500 lb boat package 600 miles over the Appalachian mnts in the passing lane. Not a Gma car. My wife drives it though .

Sorry Man, I was just having a laugh. I think I annoyed Dr. Webb with my "Lezbaru" joke a while back.

Hey man, I own an Outback. I do have to say it's not a bad car. But if I ever buy a Prius, I'm giving all of you here permission to kick me right in the nads, because they won't be of use to me anyway.

I have no freaking teeth and wear diaper daily. What are you talking about? Don't forget about my manly Land Cruisers. Its only a car, I need something beside the my wife's van to truck the kids around. Rav4 works.

I know they are good cars and have had a toyota since I started driving. I just want to see if the price is right because i have net really shopped around. Maybe you guys can tell me if that's a good deal or not. 2010 limited for 31000 bucks, 26000 miles on it. The seller is an engineer at toyota head quarters here.

Sorry, I've been slammed busy lately and haven't been on Pelican

A 2WD would bring $29ish and a 4WD would be $31ish with those miles
So it's a good deal for a 4Runner

Whether it's a good value is a completely different story. For example, a 2010 Mercedes ML350 or 2010 Lexus RX350 with 26K miles would be about the same price. Or a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder LE with 26K miles is several thousand less. Or a 2012 new-body Ford Explorer similarly equipped with 26K miles would be a bit less. There's not a single similar SUV that brings as much money as a 4Runner. Not even close. Heck, a 2010 Porsche Cayenne V6 with 26K miles can be had for $31K.

if you don't think its a bad deal , then I go and have a look. Everyone thinks what ever they are selling is always worth top money and are competing with dealer pricing. I looked through the net a little, but lots of the cars for sale are dealer ads so I do not have too many private party ads to compare to. Thanks a bunch.

Oh, the 32ish is a wholesale price?

$29K for 2WD and $31K for 4WD is wholesale for a 2010 4Runner Limited, yes.
What they've actually sold for at wholesale dealer-only auction, not any book.

$31K for a Toyota Engineer's low-mile 2010 4Runner Limited is a good deal if you're convinced you need a low-mile 2010 4Runner Limited.

There's no way in h-e-double-hockeysticks I'd ever pay that for one. But that's what they bring.
