^^ I'm paying 33 for 40mb/s.
I was under the impression that for now, 40 is plenty. I get full HD videos that run seamlessly, Netflix looks great;

Is there any reason except for bragging rights to step up to the high grass where the big dogs run?

Thats pretty funny. I think its pretty amazing the level of service available for such little $$. If what you have is working for, great, why change? I dont stream netflix but download a lot of large files for work, I always want more throughput.

When we moved into out current house it was back in the dark days of dial up. We were far enough away from the local AT&T exchange I could not get more than 28.8 kpbs speed. We switched carriers to Cox Cable and their phone line was all digital for the dial up speed was the full "fast" 56 kpbs. I was in high cotton then.

I don't even remember when but at some point we switched to a cable modem when they became available. They keep increasing the speed and right now I am at 64 Mpbs.

Cox has ads on TV right now for the upcoming Gigabyte speeds. I can't imagine what that costs. I can stream two different movies to two different TV sets at the same time now. I can't see paying for more speed until there is some tangible benefit.

It is ironic that for years if I need to transfer a big file I did it at work where the speeds was fast. Now my home is three times faster than work.

Strangely enough, it kept working very well, all day. I'm guessing not that many are using T-Mobile or they paid for the $79 internet access.

WOW says Im getting 30 meg service. 20 is the reality. That said I have no issues with it. Is there a point where speed increases dont matter ? Can you tell the difference in 50 and 100 meg service ?

that's a reasonably basic broad band speed around her.
top subscriptions are 200Mbs or higher around here.
