Not to let facts get in the way of your tirade but we boomers had absolutely nothing to do with the establishment of SS, Medicare and Medicaid..... (with the possible exception of Part D Medicare)... and I don't recall ever voting for all these unfunded pensions and retiree health care plans you speak of as those are all local issues.

Would You Support Assisted Suicide in Your State?

Getting off topic here but which generation bankrupted them? Which presidential administration raided the SS Trust Fund (LBJ), etc. There's plenty of blame to go around but none of it matters really since the end result is the same, the current generation and the ones to follow are going to be shouldering an enormous burden paying for the care of the BB generation. That's a fact.

Yes I would.....horrible to think of ending one's life but in many cases quality of life was gone long ago.

If I ever get there I'll take things into my own hands if necessary and I am able.

Carpe diem....

I guess you could argue that one is murder - but both are disallowed in the Christian faith. Maybe my question should be, Can a Christian support suicide?
Throw in the death penalty with that too.

Suicide is against my religion and I support those who are pro assisted suicide. I'm also pro choice and support the death penalty in some cases.

I think that assisted suicide is a logical and rational idea and I'm all for it.

For.

My Dad has asked me to witness his "Do Not Resuscitate or Take Extraordinary Measures" document and he has also asked that I consider assisted death...he is working the legal issues.

My Dad was a serious bad-ass, smarter, more practical and physical than any other man I have met. He wants to exit with dignity, just like my Mother.

I'm in.

After three pages only Sammy flat out says no. Some were evasive and did not answer one way or the other.

It is logical and the law needs to change to allow it.

Man, I wonder why the whore politicians/supporters of Obamacare don't suggest this. Seems to follow the idea of pruning the pool.
I am going to ask around here in AZ to see if I can muster-up some interest in this idea in this state.
A gob of retired folks here...might be receptive.
TBC.

Yes.

I think this already is happening all over the country, but it is on the down low.
