Wow about the Ivory. Woodworking guys are paying silly money (similar to your soap) for old cans of "Johnson's Paste Wax".

Old cans of Johnson's pasre wax?
You have got to be kidding me! I have a part can in the shop I've had for 40 years.

Got the tent all put up. Not as easy as it seems. It would have helped to read the instructions first. Picked up another snowblower on the curb and a chainsaw at the scap yard. I dont know if its worth trying to fix but doesnt look too bad so ill give it a shot.

Does FREE! count?

A guy that works for me gave this to me. I swear it being annual review week had nothing to do with it.

I am super impressed with my latest purchase. I bought a program, and the sports section from the Monday after the race of the first 24 hour Firehawk race at Watkins Glen. There's an article about the race on the first page of the sports section, but then page 5 is entirely devoted to articles about the race. Firehawk, not GTP, not any other classes, just Firehawk!

Some day the car might get restored. It might not be in my lifetime, the way things are going. I own the 944 that won this race and the championship.

Very cool find! How about a pic of your car back in the day. Who was the driver?

The car was driven by Jon Milledge and Walt Maas. For the 24 hour race, they added Drake Olsen and Kees Nierop.

In 1985 it looked like this
.

Start of disassembly.

What it looks like now. It's kind of stuck here now, I think the guy that's doing the work is overwhelmed. I have another guy lined up to reassemble it, but he needs it painted first.

There's a write-up of just about every race on PCA Golden Gate region's Nugget archives. Cool to read through.

Don't feel bad. My '83 SC has been at my mechanic's shop now for 3 years. He's moved 3 times in those 3 years, but thankfully finally bought his own place instead of renting and this place has a lot of space. He and his son do all the work but lately they've had a 3rd guy there. My engine and gearbox is out waiting for a rebuild. Body work also on the menu.

I bought a bunch of new parts for it - some of which has been installed and some not.

Probably a ton of others in the same boat.

I can wait - have more than my hands full with my other cars, bicycles, and motorcycles....

Scored a pair of Blundstone's off fbmp the other day. Pretty much brand new but had small scuffs on both toes. $60 for the 550s.
Quick clean up and polish and they are pretty much perfect.
Felt a bit like Tabs buying used shoes...
Perhaps I am turning into a man of no wealth and taste?

Pretty good score this morning spotted these curbside while on the way to do some work at my south beach accounts. They are in VERY good condition, including the swivel brackets which are the usual corrosion suspects on these kinds of chairs.

Nice to get a complete matching set of 4!

Scored this fiberglass table also yesterday on my way to the local DQ to pick up a small chocolate shake for my Mom. It was on the side road that leads to the DQ from Faulkner St - the back way in. Goes to show you taking the back roads sometimes pays dividends.

The person who tossed it took the time to remove the legs so it was super easy to handle in and out of my truck!

I washed it off and then hit it with Outdoor Chlorox and it's now super clean and I set it up on my front outside deck where I watch my antenna TV.

This time of year I love sitting outside and watching TV. There are plenty of decent stations my antenna picks up. In particular COMET for SciFi like 'The X Files' and CHARGE for crime dramas like 'L&O Criminal Intent'.

I also can get GRIT for westerns. This is from "The Train Robbers' the other night.

Feeling a bit like Tabs with a footwear purchase from FBMP.
Pair of essentially new Blundstone 550s with a couple of toe scuffs on each boot (now polished out) for 25% of the new price.
I actually got them for a Halloween costume. I dressed up as one of my co-workers today. Worked out pretty well.
The best part is that I actually like the boots! Quite comfortable. Like my feet have new friends.

That’s a damned awesome score! I’m looking for deals on deck furniture now that my deck is done minus the deck sealing.

FB MP deal. Took this guy forever to get back to me and then way too many exchanges before we could finally connect to do the deal. Some people are just not adept at selling.

I stuck it out and prevailed.

$10 for the wheelbarrow and $50 for the pair of NOS Boston Acoustic speakers. He said he just put a new tube in the wheelbarrow tire and you can see the new fasteners. I put it to work today at one of my accounts.....worked just fine!

Have not tried the speakers out yet but anxious to do so. The mounting hardware was missing from one of the boxes so will have to fabricate something.

The seller said his wife didn't allow him to listen to music in the house so he had speakers in his garage...so maybe that's where my mounting hardware went.....

My brother picked up a little old crate practice amp for 15 bucks on mp the other day just down the road. He kinda collects them he has like 10 or 15 stacked up around his room. Turns out it had a bad speaker but he put a good one in

Happy reading...125 pages. Yes, collectors are out there. I'm not one of 'em, so not a clue if yours are valuable or not. Most likely not.
