My brother picked up a little old crate practice amp for 15 bucks on mp the other day just down the road. He kinda collects them he has like 10 or 15 stacked up around his room. Turns out it had a bad speaker but he put a good one in

Happy reading...125 pages. Yes, collectors are out there. I'm not one of 'em, so not a clue if yours are valuable or not. Most likely not.

Four weeks ago this came up on FB marketplace for $1200 and the motor was locked up. A bigger project than I was looking for. But it was 3 minutes away and I had to look. I offered the guy $1000 if he delivered it and got it iin my garage. My buddies brother had a 4.3 for $400 and he delivered it to me. Thats the good. The bad is, this thing fought me daily. Rusty bolts everywhere , and since it was locked up I had to pull the trans with the motor. Anyway it took 31/2 weeks to get it running and it ran like crap. Took 4 days and lots of trial and error to figure out that it had a bad cam sensor. Replaced that and it ran smooooothe. Thats the the cliffs notes. I could only work on it a couple hours here and there so when I say three weeks thats not working on it like a job but the aggravation was real. Still have to paint the back bumper and fix the AC.
Two days after I started on this the oil pressure went south in my white S10 so now I have a truck to use while I fix it. In the end I should be able to sell the FB one for $2500 to $3000.

You're much more ambitious than I, Jack. Respect and good luck on the rest of the work and also the repairs on your S10!

Yesterday I drove to Deland to check out a 1980 Honda Express for sale. I decided not to purchase but on the way back stopped at the county transfer station where solid wastes are handled. They have a household section for paint, oil, appliances, etc. Visitors are allowed to take up to 5 items.

Slim pickins but I managed to get 5 I think I can use.

Not in the photo is a small container of rooting hormone I will use for my gardening endeavours.

Cool Id be stopping there everyday! A rather wealthy customer of mine had a problem with her garage door so I went over there and oiled it up. she was cleaning up the garage and shed and i loaded up the porsche with a few boxes of misc stuff. Half used jugs of oil and 5 new gallons of antifreze and a bunch of misc stabil and injector cleaners. A bunch of misc calks and paints, a couple new plastic mats for under the desk chair. Then went back the next day to replace a window pane and loaded up my truck with aluminum wheels w/ junk tires and scrap metal. Today the town was having a free tire drop off day so I loaded up the truck again with 15 tires to take down there.

It's quite a distance so can't really justify a trip there unless I'm already in the area. And back in the day I was able to take as much as I wanted. I mean I'd have boxes full of materials.....all kinds of stuff. Once an almost full container of Roundup Quick Pro!

Appreciate it Byron but unless it's a VFR or VF I'm not interested in any more project bikes. I just don't have room here plus got my hands full with trying to maintain what I have...lol.....

If you happen to run across any of the '86 or '87 VFR700 Interceptors.....please send me a ping! SmileWavy

Sectional table in Mom's neighborhood today but I left it - I already have too many tables here plus it was upside down - and with the recent rains - no telling what the top looked like.

Hardly worth mentioning but......on my way home after errands today picked up this small shelf unit and small end table with drawer.

The shelf unit will need some attention but no biggie.

I could use the little table on my front deck next to my chair - a place for the remote and frosty beverage.....;)

Another Woodworkers Guild of GA tool sale local to me here in metro ATL. Items at the bottom were $1 each, Forstner bit set was $75 and lets just say the still in the boxes new Veritas dovetail saw and the two Lie Neilson planes were a good price.

Interesting set of pliers. High quality - and I thought I knew what they were for and then did an on-line search and was rather surprised.

Plane shaving off some poplar - very sharp out of the box!

herr_oberst 12-04-2023 06:10 PM

Are those pliers used for tooth extractions?

MBAtarga 12-04-2023 06:16 PM

Pliers - which I thought were specialty use for spring removal/replacement:

pliers look like they could also be used to remove those round factory style heater hose clamps.
