I don't know how many times my 'worthless crap' has bailed me out when my wife wants something 'built' or 'fixed' or for me to come up with 'something like this'.
Take yesterday for instance, she wanted some thing to put sand paper on (her example was a $25 piece of wood) so she could use it to hold her fabric while tracing patterns on it. The sand paper keeps the fabric from moving which allows for a more accurate pattern. I cut a piece of an old plexiglass sewing machine table she'd tossed out some time ago. Worked out perfectly.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1704213222.JPG
We were going to glue the sand paper to it until she found someone that had used the blue painters tape instead, to make replacing the sand paper easier.

Finnish. So not the bad-bad guys. $50 off local market place. Not sure what to do with it.

Adjusted the height of the motor/head on the drill press and after cutting a section of shelving off, mounted it to the workbench.

Looks kinda small and wimpy. I hope you don't need to drill in oak or use any big bits.

I had a 0 - 1" Starret already. And I think I bought a Lufkin 1" - 2" micrometer for $10-15.

Was channeling my inner Baz this week and picked up a really nice Workmate workbench from the alley. Few days later, there was a Netspresso machine behind the same residence. Used but in the original box.
Workmate works great but needs a few more dogs.
Netspresso has not been tried yet but all the parts seem to be there.

Just bought this 2006 Trailex trailer from a friend of mine for $3k. It has the toolbox, spare tire and tire rack. He’s in Tampa, so I’ll need to make a road trip down there to pick it up. Tires are 3-4 years old, so I’ll be replacing them soon. He’s going to replace some rusty bolts, reinstall the tire rack, parts and fix a couple of electrical items.

I think it’s a good buy and I will always get my money back.

As I mentioned in the "tool storage" thread, missed out on a nice Craftsman tool cart that was on FB MP. Seller never responded to me - even though I committed to buy it - full asking price - cash.

As Bruce Hornsby says.......that's just the way it is.

But......this morning as I was taking my newest e-bike out to stretch her legs a bit, a couple blocks over I see a nice patio table curbside. U-turn back home to grab the Silverado.

This thing is nice! Plexiglass top and aluminum frame, I think. Still has her rubber shoes! :)

Finally sold this a couple days ago. Only cleared $600 on it. Should have done better but it nickel and dimed me to death. Glad to see this one gone. It was nice to have it to drive while my white truck was apart though.

Now you need a mill and a lathe.

Sold a peavey amp today on marketplace for 20 bucks the guy was ecstatic. It needed a speaker and a few other parts. I got it for free from my neighbors mouse infested shed so it would have been in a dumpster right now. He said he had been here a few times before buying boat motors from me lol. My main score this week was a Handyman Harrah farm jack from my other neighbors barn I got for free aswell. Works better than the modern high lift jacks i have even though its all packed with crud. Im helping clean up the property for sale soon.

Picked up this blower from Mom's neighborhood a couple months ago.

Finally today decided to take a look.

Fuel tank was empty....a good sign. Everything else looked good.

Heck....let's put some fuel in it and see what happens.

Crickey....she started right up and ran perfectly! Strongly even I would say.

Nice! :)

Nice score Baz but the pic above is why I hate 2 cycle stuff. It should not be that complicated to start an internal combustion engine.

Funny thing Jack....is I didn't go through all those steps. Just pushed the primer bulb in a few times....put the lever on CHOKE....and pulled the rope. She started up after maybe the third pull.

My other hand held power equip is Echo 2 cycle and some of those things start on the first pull w/choke on. Then I just take the choke off and go.

Having spent a life in landscaping has probably gotten you pretty good with gasoline powered tools. I am a 4 cycle guy. I have had a couple 2 cycle weedeaters but no more. May go for a battery string trimmer this year.

I hear ya, Jack. 2 cycle have their share of problems but yeah I've had them for so many years it's ridiculous. Used to sell them for ~10 years too....private labeled Echo. They're in my blood!

Hey they make some pretty good battery tools these days!
